5 stars Attract More Of What You Want, And Less Of What You Don't

2004-08-26     958 of 1007 found this review helpful

"Have you noticed that, sometimes, what you need falls into place or comes to you from an out-of-blue phone call? Or you've bumped into someone on the street you've been thinking about? Perhaps you've met the perfect client or life partner--just by fate or being at the right place at the right time? All of these experiences are evidence of the Law of Attraction in your life. Have you heard about people who find themselves in bad relationships--over and over again--and who are always complaining that they keep attracting the same kind of relationship? The Law of Attraction is at work for them, too. The Law of Attraction delivers both what is wanted and unwanted." --Michael Losier in The Law Of Attraction

Let me start off by saying that The Law of Attraction is one of those rare books that can instantly change your life. It's not hype, because I tried the exercises listed in this book and had observable results within the hour. More on my personal experience a bit later.

You may be wondering What is the Law of Attraction? Simply put, the Law of Atraction states: "I attract to my life whatever I give my energy, focus, and attention to, whether wanted or unwanted". Everything in the world is made up of energy which vibrates at a certain level. When someone has "bad vibes", they are sending off negative energy. Have you ever heard the phrases like attracts like, birds of a feather flock together, and misery loves company? These popular phrases are evidence of the Law of Attraction. There are other phrases and words that describe this universal law, including:

*Serendipity
*Synchronicity
*Fate
*Karma
*Luck
*Meant to be

According to author Michael Losier The Law of Attraction responds to whatever vibration you are offering, by giving you more of what you are vibrating. In our bodies, our "vibration" is translated as feelings. When we feel enthusiastic, loving, confident, or content, we are vibrating positively. When we feel sad, stressed, angry, or ashamed, we are vibrating negatively. This is why viewing negative events causes us to feel badly. Likewise, witnessing beauty or acts of kindess causes us to feel good.

It has been said that we "create our own reality". Regardless of whether or not we are doing it intentionally, we draw circumstances and people towards us that match our vibration (feelings). We are constantly thinking thoughts, and those thoughts produce feelings (vibration). The Law of Attraction teaches us how to deliberately attract more of what we want (as opposed to unconsciously attracting what we don't).

What Losier shows us is that how we feel about something--and what we focus upon--attracts situations and people with matching vibration. He then gives us tools to raise our vibration, and attract our ideal situation--which is exciting! The three-step formula for deliberate attraction is:

*Identify your desire
*Raise your vibration
*Allow it

The instructions are clear and simple, and can be performed quickly. Losier provides two case studies, and guides you through the three-step process with worksheets. There is even a webpage listed in the book where you can download additional worksheets.

I've read other Law of Attraction books, but something seemed to be missing. I found the process frustrating and disheartening, quite frankly, and gave up on the concept (despite knowing there was truth to it). Losier provides the missing piece through his Clarity Through Contrast worksheet, as well as the Desire Statement. Both of these exercises focus our attention on an ideal, so it's easy to get excited about attracting what you desire. I think this is why so many people have trouble with affirmations: you don't feel good about saying a situation is one way, when it is really another. So while positive thinking alone may help with redirecting thoughts, they don't "blow our fan", as Losier is wont to say, until those thoughts are accompanied by positive feelings.

~My Personal Experience~

After I read this book (it's a quick read), I printed out the Worksheets online, and completed them as instructed. I knew immediately what I wanted to attract even before I finished the book: my ideal experience writing my first novel. Up until a few days ago, I had experienced huge resistance to writing my novel. I'd get sick to my stomach and procrastinate because I dreaded sitting down and writing. (This process has been going on for well over a year, with my procrastination often lasting weeks or months). Yet, I had an outline, plot direction, interesting characters, and unblocked creativity. In fact, when I actually did write, it went quite well.

So what was wrong with me?! This "creative angst" has been "hanging over me", and I couldn't figure out why my willpower wasn't enough.

I did all the worksheets in the book, which didn't take very long. Within an hour, I sat down and wrote over 500 words of my novel with complete ease. The next day, I quickly read over my Desire Statement, and wrote another 500+ words...with complete ease. It's so easy now, that I'm wondering where the dread went! If I feel low level anxiety, I read my Desire Statement, have an influx of peace, and the writing process is as easy as can be. I'm totally amazed. My husband has also read the book, and has done a Desire Statement on finances. And, we've resurrected our "wish box" (now a blessings jar) that we used to use regularly.

As you can see, The Law of Attraction has started a new and exciting chapter in our lives! I'm still in awe that I can walk over to my dining table, and begin writing immediately with complete ease and clear focus.

In case you haven't guessed, I highly recommend this book--especially if you want to attract more of what you desire...and less of what you don't.

5 stars My highest recommendation: buy this book!

In an effort to make my point as clear as possible, I'm going to be as brief as possible:

Out of all the books, tapes, and resources that I've purchased on the topic of "creating your ideal life", Michael Losier's "Law of Attraction" is the absolute best "nuts-and-bolts" treatment I've ever read. Period.

My introduction to the book is actually an example of the law of attraction at work. I was on a plane flying to Cancun, Mexico and saw a gentleman across the aisle reading his book. I noted the title and the author's name and made a note to purchase it when I returned home.

Less than 48 hours later, I was actually SITTING AT DINNER with Mr. Losier and his assistant. They were actually in Cancun for the same business conference I was.

Of course, we can say this is a "coincidence" but that doesn't really explain anything. It's just another word we use to describe the law of attraction in our everyday language.

What Losier teaches in this book is NOT how to become someone who attracts results. You're already doing that. Instead, he teaches you -- in plain, English with no weird jargon -- how to become a DELIBERATE attractor and start consciously attracting more of the things you want out of life and less of the things that you don't want.

This book has my highest recommendation. If I couldn't get another copy, I wouldn't take $1,000 for mine.

Tony

Footnote: get the CD set from the author's website as well. It's a huge complement to an already-great book.

3 stars Good for a Basic Introduction to the Law of Attraction and NLP

2007-04-21     144 of 145 found this review helpful

This book combines two main ideologies, but in a very basic way: The Law of Attraction and Neuro Linguistic Programming.

The Law of Attraction describes us as a magnet and our thoughts and feelings attract from the Universe the equivalent of those thoughts or feelings. For example, if you constantly are in a bad mood and consistently wonder why you don't make enough money, then by the Law of Attraction, you are attracting more of "not making enough money" and "feeling bad".

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a very intriguing topic. NLPs creator's Richard Bandler and John Grinder created NLP as a way of describing methods to create wanted behaviors in ourselves through the way we think "Neuro" and the use of our speech "Linguistic", thus "Programming" ourselves in the way we want.

Here are some thoughts to help you in your decision with buying this book:

1. This book is very much an INTRODUCTION book combining those two main principles: the "Law of Attraction" and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming).
2. If you have read any "Law of Attraction" books or NLP books, you will most likely have already read the information and probably in more detail.
3. If you are looking for in-depth, two books that come to mind that cover the two principles well: "Ask and It is Given" covers the Law of Attraction extremely well, and "Awaken the Giant Within" covers popular NLP well. FYI: If you can find the out of print books "The Structure of Magic" or its follow up, both written by Richard Bandler and John Grinder (the actual creators of NLP), then you will have learned from the original sources of NLP before the ideologies were modified by others.
4. If you have not read any of these types of books, you will most likely enjoy and find the information useful as a first step to more information.
5. A personal complaint is it is a short book with a lot of white space in which each page is not completely filled and appears to be repetitive.

***** THE BOTTOM LINE *****
If you're new to this type of book, get it, it's not bad to start out with.
If you're not new to it, you've already read it and with more detail.

3 stars Read Abraham-Hicks instead

2006-08-17     143 of 181 found this review helpful

I can't say this book is all bad. It would be suitable for someone who is not at all familiar with the "Law of Attraction" principal. Perhaps you might present it to someone who has never heard of these concepts. However...

This seems like yet another book by someone who is rehashing the Abraham-Hicks materials and making lots of money. I would suggest borrowing it from the library, and if the concepts make sense, go straight to books by Jerry and Esther Hicks.

The books seems very brief, with a large font and a space wasting layout. It's further pumped up with worksheets that merely take up space. You could easily read it in less than an hour.

I'm on the fence about recommending it, hence the 3 stars.

1 stars this is only half a book

Don't waste the money. There are many other books on the topic that actually do provide a how=to. This book has so much graphics and wasted space that I thought I was reading one of my childrens books. There are worksheets and exercises to perform but nowhere does it say what to do with the information afterward. Beautiful cover artwork, but that's about it!!

2 stars Reserving Judgment on Whether It Works

2006-07-30     48 of 57 found this review helpful

This is the 2nd Law-of-Attraction type of book that I've read. I bought it at the same time I bought Joe Vitale's "The Attractor Factor." After time, I have concluded that Losier's is the better book. I've read other books since then too, and would like to upgrade my rating to three stars, but cannot change the star rating....

As I state in the title, I can't say with confidence that this whole metaphysical angle works. I haven't had any significant successes with it.

I can comment on Mr. Losier's presentation of the material, though: It is, in a word, bloodless. The information isn't bad, mind you--and if there is anything to the Law of Attraction stuff, his method may well work fine. But part of the trick to making this stuff work for you is believing it will, changing the way you *feel* about your relationship to the world and to what you want from it. This book does very little to offer inspiration. The prose is lifeless (with some really embarrassing writing errors that an editor should have caught).

A smattering of anecdotes revealing success stories would have added some flavor.

The anecdotes don't prove anything, of course. But they can serve as an inspirations.

The worksheets that you can download to accompany this book are hardly worth the effort. There is nothing there that is any better than writing on a piece of notebook paper, or typing out on the computer.

This book isn't bad. The instructions are clear and straightforward, and you could do worse than begin with Losier's book if you are investigating this discipline.

4 stars Good book

2005-08-13     48 of 49 found this review helpful

This is a very good book. It explains how to get what you want by breaking down the process on three steps:
1) Clarifying what you DO want, putting it into words
2) Letting the Universe know what you want by creating a desire statement
3) Allowing yourself to receive what you want

This is definitely something one should read, although everything written in this book is a common sense for any spiritual person. What makes this book useful is that it forces you to use something you already know. Everyone already has this information but it is in our unconscious. The book kind of helps you to make it conscious

1 stars Science? Hahahahaha!!!!

2007-05-17     46 of 83 found this review helpful

There's no science in this text whatsoever. Its basic pretense is that there is no such thing as luck or coincidence. The good things that happen to you happen because you deserve it or were thinking good thoughts or some other such nonsense.

The book, like all the other Secret mallarkey, completely skips the necessary flipside of the equation. That the bad things that happen thoughout the world - Somalia, Darfur, Iraq, New Orleans, Indonesia, etc. - must therefore be due to the bad thoughts and bad thinking and bad karma of the poor folks hit by those disasters. They deserved to die.

It is just more of the same effort to rationalize and justify social excess in a world where there are needy people. Keep the poor out of your mind. Avoid the sick. Pretend they don't exist. Don't help them, for hell's sake. It might be catching!

Just another symptom of the foolishness of suckers that will believe anything.

1 stars Half a Book

2007-03-14     45 of 53 found this review helpful

This book is extremely light on content, doesn't fully explain any concepts behind the stuff the author expects you to do and leaves pretty much every other (of it's limited number of pages) blank.

I have no idea why it is selling so well except that the age-old promise of "Get Something Great (money, wealth or whatever) Without Having To Lift A Finger" is ever appealing if unrealistic.

3 stars Lot's of favor trading goin' on....

2005-09-13     45 of 57 found this review helpful

Have you noticed that a lot of the 5 star reviews are people with their own books etc.? I'm noticing this trend on Amazon more and more. After all, if you wrote a book, wouldn't you encourage your friends to go give your book a 5 star review at Amazon? Notice the 1 star reviews seem to be from just regular people who just bought and read the book. I'm not saying it's wrong for people to trade favors - you know, you write a 5 star review for my book and I'll do the same for you, just be aware it's happening.

5 stars Outstanding! Keeps it Simple for Mainstream Society

2006-12-07     43 of 46 found this review helpful

What I love most about Michael Losier's book LAW OF ATTRACTION is that he keeps the concepts simple so anyone can easily understand and apply the Law of Attraction into their lives.

In "the 3-Step Formula for Deliberate Attraction" on page 30, it easily shows:

"Step 1: Identify Your Desire"
"Step 2: Give Your Desire Attention"
"Step 3: Allow It"

While the book truly helps you gain more clarity about what you DO want (which seems to be difficult for many) the third section of the book makes an enormous difference with Step 3: Allowing. This is the step that is usually more difficult for people.

Some of the quotes from pages 108-109 that are immediately helpful are:

"Your job is not to try to figure things out intellectually but to let the Law of Attraction figure it out."

Additionally, there are a few phrases that can help you even more with the allowing process. They are to "Use the Expression, "I'm in the process of..."
"I've Decided" "Lots Can Happen."

Something else that is enormously helpful in a very practical way is covered on page 84 "Formula for Creating Allowing Statements" to help release limiting beliefs:

"Start by asking yourself if there is anyone currently doing what you want to do or having what you want."
"If so, then how many people have been doing this today? Yesterday? Last week? Last month? Last Year?"
"Write your statements in general terms (3rd person), because making reference to yourself may create more doubt" such as "More and more people are attracting creative ways to bring in extra income."

I like the additional book references in the back of this book as suggested reads, and the whole general feeling from this book is entirely positive. Additionally, what's fantastic is that there is a whole section devoted to teaching this to children! I was happily surprised and deeply impressed with this, because of the positive difference this will make in our world.

This is an excellent book, and the author's website also has a lot to offer.
This is just pure goodness that is direly needed in our world, and I wholeheartedly commend Michael Losier for bringing this ancient teaching into simple, applicable and understandable terms, while also crediting those who have taught this before him. This is a book I would buy for anyone who feels bad about their life, and I recommend it for anyone who would like to turn anything around for the better!

1 stars Absolute Dissapointment

2007-04-13     42 of 54 found this review helpful

Do not waste your money on purchasing this book - there is so much wasted page space that this should have been marketed as a pamphlet. As far as content goes - there is none. The cover and title make it appear as though the book holds promise of providing usable information with regard to the law of attraction - it is misleading. I find it hard to believe that someone would pass off something as poorly written as this book as being worthwhile in learning/understanding the concept of the law of attraction. Needless to say, the book found itself in the garbage! An absolute waste of time and money - a great dissapointment.

2 stars So ... did all the people rendered homeless by the Tsunami..

2005-03-22     36 of 86 found this review helpful

Given the simplistic and New Age blame game tone this book basically would supprt the notion that the people rendered homeless in the Tsunami tragedy of December 2004 attracted the experience. Although the law of attraction has some valid points, it is one of those texts that seem to indicate that a little bit of information can be dangerous when misapplied too broadly. No one attracts an experience that they had no control over, such as a natural disaster. If you want some healthy lessons on the Law of Attraction, visit the Sonaya Roman books. No one is responsible for another persons' actions. Becuase we all have free will and let's face it - there are people out there who consciously violate others. If what you think makes things happen then why are hypochondriacs sometimes pretty healthy and anorexics actually thin, even if they truly believe they are fat? The law of attraction, when applied without principle, is a very dangerous, anxiety-inducing belief system indeed. Surprise - no one is God.

2 stars A whole book for one simple concept!

2006-03-21     35 of 41 found this review helpful

I thought the book was way too basic. There were many exercises that you had to do and write about in the book. I thought most of it was there simply to fill up space since the main idea could be explained on one page. I am giving it two stars instead of one because after all, the author did try to write a book explaining how the Law of Attraction works. Two of my favorite books talking about the Law of Attraction are "Ask and It Is Given" by E. Hicks and "How To Be Wildly Wealthy Fast" by S. Forster.

1 stars This is not a law. This is not science.

2007-05-11     34 of 47 found this review helpful

I can't believe people fall for this garbage. The ideas presented in this book are done so without any regard to scientific method, and "The Law of Attraction" is far from a law. Laws are absolute. Laws are proven. Laws are backed up by fact. Show me the proof that our bodies operate at a particular "vibration" and it is this vibration that either attracts or repels things in our lives. This book does not offer that proof, and neither can you. Sorry, finding a winning lottery ticket on the ground is not proof that our bodies are "vibrating" or that finding that ticket was based on positive thinking.

Be careful of any writing that proclaims something a "Universal Law" that clearly isn't.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big proponent of positive thinking and I feel it is helpful. But the author is stealing your money by selling you false claims, fantasies, and untruths.

Why would you spend your hard-earned money on a lie?

2 stars It's Not About You

2006-08-14     33 of 162 found this review helpful

I have read several Law of Attraction books (including this one). All of these books have a common theme--a focus upon oneself as the source of fulfillment. Guess what? It's not about you! If you want to change what you attract, you will never succeed by looking to yourself. You must first make God the center of your universe. This is not a message that many of us want to hear or accept because our Western culture is based upon self-gratification. When you seek God and make Him the focus of your life, guess what happens? All of your needs (and more) are fulfilled. That is His promise and God never breaks His promises. If you are sincere about having a fulfilling and meaningful life, I suggest you read The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren.

2 stars Great Topic, Disappointing Treatment

2004-11-09     31 of 45 found this review helpful

I wanted to like this book. I took Michael Losier's free telecourse and had heard many good things about his seminars. But I have to agree with some of the other reviewers here. Much too simplistic and not alot of meat. I like that he didn't right a 200 page book because honestly, who has time to read that, but I think he could have given many more examples of how to work with the Law of Attraction. Specifically more concrete tips on how to deal with thoughts that are counter to your desires or intention.

If you've never heard of the law of attraction before this book would be for you. If you have ever read another book about this subject don't waste your money. The book is very simplistic with one or two paragraphs on a page and lots of blank space. This book was definitely not worth $15.00. The basic information is good but not anything new and not presented in a way that kept my attention.

4 stars Easy read

I bought this book as a Christmas present for a friend of mine and of course I had to read it before wrapping it up. I've done my best to teach him the benefits of positive thinking and how thoughts and words create reality, but I had to enlist some extra help. The book is clear and concise and not overcomplicated or wordy, which is great for people with short attention spans. ;) It contains worksheets to help keep your thoughts aligned with the Law of Attraction and to remain positive that your goals will become reality. It is basically a workbook that teaches how to change your thought processes from negative to positive so that it becomes second nature, and thus you will attract more of what you want (positive results) in your life.

5 stars Simple, Practical, Short---It Works!

2007-08-11     27 of 27 found this review helpful

The critics are right: The book is short. The book is a rehash of Abraham Hicks. The book is simplistic.

What the critics have wrong is that these are GOOD things!

This is the best, clearest, most practical exposition of how to use the basic ideas found in "The Secret" and Abraham Hicks that I have found.

The book presents three simple steps, along with several exercises that you should do in order to cause your dreams to manifest in reality. It also gives about 10 other practical advanced techniques. That's it! That's the whole book.

The author comes across as very sincere and practical, and many times references his influences, including Abraham Hicks. In fact, he even recommends reading Abraham. He seems really grateful for the information those came before him provided him. What HIS contribution has been has been to take all those theoretical constructs and distill them down to simple practical exercises that we can apply to our everyday lives.

He has done a great job at this.

I used his techniques for the first time right before a big project was due. The project was a spectacular success; I got spectacular compliments from people I never expected to get them from. That is how great the project went off!

I'm grateful! This stuff works, and works quickly.

(You do, however, have to actually DO the exercises!!! Reading the book is not enough. Just a suggestion....)

5 stars Easy to understand, fun to do.

2006-11-30     27 of 28 found this review helpful

Grasping the intricacies and depth of the Law of Attraction can be daunting, especially when reading the arcane early 20th century literature (Holmes, Wattles, Collier etc.). Abraham-Hicks' works are definitely vital but lack a practicality that Michael Losier brilliantly spells out. I am now able to quickly identify hidden contrary beliefs that block easy goal achievement thanks to the easy-to-understand exercises. This IS a fast read AND yet very deep in shining light into our darkest corners of denial.
This is a great book. Thank you, Michael Losier and thank you, Amazon.com! I found the book by searching "attraction" books!

4 stars Accentuating the Positive in a Helpful Stepwise Manual

2007-01-31     26 of 27 found this review helpful

I've actually taken Michael Losier's class on the Law of Attraction more than four years ago and am gratified to see how his principals for self-improvement have taken flight with more people these days. His useful and gratefully brief handbook has been within arm's length for some time now, as I view it as an essential primer for helping me to take charge of my own possibilities. Even if the material is well-trodden by the number of positive thinking tomes in circulation, Losier's book stands out as a sensible, stepwise manual for drawing positive vibrations in one's life. Using his acumen as an instructor, he identifies three key steps in realizing these goals: (1) identifying desire and using contrast as a means to discern it; (2) giving desire the energy of attention through what he terms as a vibrational bubble; and (3) allowing desire to come into fruition.

What I appreciate most about Losier's approach versus others who have adapted the same philosophy is his ability to cut through much of the populist New Age-speak to get to the day-to-day practicalities of dwelling on the positive in furthering a professional career or improving a love life. For those like me who have already been drawn to the Toltec-based wisdom of Don Miguel Ruiz's "The Four Agreements", Losier's book provides a helpful complement in sustaining the same self-fulfillment ethos. I particularly respect the viewpoint that he espouses about the universe being an entity not to be controlled but one to be facilitated through its consummate obedience. It becomes a matter of personal focus as to what to seize in one's life, not the avoidance of the negative things we are afraid will come true. Perhaps Norman Vincent Peale coined the concept of positive thinking, but his was based more on exclusionary tactics and armchair thinking. Losier knows that it takes true action to draw the things people want in their lives.

3 stars Create Our Own Reality?

2007-10-23     25 of 28 found this review helpful

The basic law of attraction states that my life will become whatever I focus my energy & attention on. the focal point being the concept that the world is made up of energy that vibrates at a certain level. The old cliche that you get what you put out is the dominant theme. This universal law includes-fate, karma, luck, meant to be, serendipity, & synchronicity. Feelings of confidence, enthusiasm, love are the positives & the negatives like anger, envy, jealousy are self explanitory.

The author gives a three step formula to use: identify your desire, raise your vibration, allow it to come to you. The clarity through contrast worksheet was the most helpful. Will these metaphysical tactics work? I have to try them more regularly, & overcome my skepticism to give you a definitive answer. Thus far, I would say the results have been neutral.

5 stars Best Book on Law of Attraction

*****
I am a student of the Law of Attraction (LOA) and have many books on the topic. I would highly recommend that no matter how many books you have, you also get this book. What makes it unique is that it is very applied, very technical (in a good way) so that you can debug your process of applying the LOA so that it will work for you. For example, you will discover why affirmations may not be working for you, and what to do to craft affirmations that do work. You'll discover HOW to "allow", which is the most difficult step of the LOA.

The book is an easy read, and a valuable read that anyone can understand, but will be of great interest to sophisticated readers also.

The author includes a valuable chapter on using the LOA with children, a topic not covered anywhere else that I have found.

The book's format is one that lends itself to easy skimming as you learn to apply the LOA so that you can review (summaries, shaded boxes, etc.). Still, it is a book that I've read in its entirety twice and will read again and again until I am proficient at applying the concepts.

Although the book is short (144 pages) and only takes an hour or two to read, it is incredibly valuable information, well worth many times the price.

5 stars A straightforward and simple guidebook

2006-02-07     22 of 23 found this review helpful

For years, I have struggled with the concept of affirmations. Affirmations involve telling yourself that what you want to happen already has happened. For instance, if you want to work out and lose weight, you'd look at yourself in the mirror and say, "I have a slim and fit body." The problem with this for me, and for many others with whom I've talked about this, is that there's this little voice in the back of my head that's roaring with laughter and saying, "YOU DO NOT!"

Using Losier's three-step formula gives that little voice no opportunity to sabotage your efforts. The Law of Attraction involves our recognizing that there's something we want, something we wish to bring into our lives, and then it sets usup mentally to be ready to receive it, ready to attract it, ready to notice it when it may be tapping very quietly on our doors.

Opportunity doesn't always knock. Sometimes it whispers, and sometimes it just waves as it walks past. The Law of Attraction helps us to be ready to notice and welcome opportunity into our lives, no matter how it presents itself.

This may be, as some reviewers have commented, a very slim book, but it's big enough to give you what you need. And there's a lot more here than meets the eye!

Totally by chance, I was extremely fortunate to see Michael Losier present his "Law of Attraction" seminar. Michael is an entertaining, dynamic, and honest speaker, and his teachings have changed my life. As an upbeat and positive person, I was extremely surpised to learn how much of my daily self-talk was actually sabatoging my efforts to attract the type of relationships and things I wanted in life (and I've read hundreds of other personal development books by today's top gurus).

Michael's methods are far more than positive affirmations or fluffy new age mantras. His material is practical, easily learned, and although deceptively simple, it is extremely powerful. The "Law of Attraction" book is a great value, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in increasing his or her quaility of life (externally or internally). Better still, attend one of Michael's seminars, tele-seminars, or buy his CD's. His materials are "must-have" resources for personal development and business libraries, and they are the kind of materials you will return to again and again. But be warned, if you lend them out, you will need the "Law of Attraction" to get them back.

1 stars Childish.

I was quite dissapointed by this book. It is a rehash of other books, for instance, "The power of Positive thinking" but is unoriginal, naive and childish in its approach.
On the subject of abundance, it tells you to accept gladly when a friend invites you to lunch, and take it as a token of abundance; what it does not say is that when you accept such an invitation, you are to reciprocate later on, so your so-called abundance then gets neutralized.
Or celebrate because you got a second cup of coffee for free at the cafeteria! He hasn't been in the US I guess. Coffee refills are usually free.
A waste of time, in my opinion.

3 stars Disappointing

2007-02-06     20 of 21 found this review helpful

I was very excited about this book when I purchased it, first from all the glowing reviews and also from a recommendation of a very good friend whom I consider an expert on books. I am disappointed with the result. The book is very thin, and it reminds me of a bound powerpoint presentation. Each simple (to me) concept is explained on several pages - to the point when I though "ok, ok, I get it, can we move on?!" but that could just be me. It just gave me the impression of trying to "stretch" the number of pages so that it's enough for it to be a book. It's not very engaging (read: on the boring side). The excercises may be helpful for "thinking about oneself more", but all in all, I don't believe that they can deliver the results the author is so convinced about. You know that old saying "if something seems too good to be true..." I wish I would have spent my money on something else.

5 stars Easy to read, easy to Learn

The set up of this book make it really easy to read. The print is a reasonable size for people with poor eyesight and this makes it quicker to read. To really know and understand, you will need to read several times but this will be worthwhile.

2 stars Like a very meaty seminar handout - not what I expected in a book

2006-02-02     20 of 22 found this review helpful

I wish I'd realized how flimsy the material in this book is. In that case, I wouldn't have bought it. What there is in the book is useful, but there's hardly anything there. Expect something the length and depth of a seminar handout. There are really only two extended examples in the book to illustrate its ideas.

3 stars Good, but has been eclipsed

2005-10-18     20 of 34 found this review helpful

This is a very good book. However, other authors in this genre, most notably Develop Irresistible Attraction by Connie Domino, have eclipsed Losier's work.

What Connie Domino brings in are very important energetic aspects such as forgiveness. Forgiveness is one of the most important methods that effect manifestation. Forgiveness is as important, perhaps more important (based on the work of a Man for Gallilee) than removing doubt or negative self-talk. Connie has done her homework and refined other approaches such as the one in this book. Also, word for word, Connie's book has much more meaningful content.

4 stars An Excellent Workbook

2005-06-05     20 of 20 found this review helpful

This book supports the propsition that simplicity is the best design. Short and simple, the author provides a good working outline of the principles underlying the law of attraction and then provides practical exercises to assist the reader in utilizing them. (Free additional downloadable forms are available from the author's website.)

Like the Law of Gravity, there is not a whole lot of new material regarding the Law of Attraction. The trick is implementing the principles. Deceptively simple, the law of attraction often proves elusive. The author has done a superb job of desribing the basics and rendering them user friendly.

5 stars Life Transforming

2008-04-26     19 of 20 found this review helpful

If you've been having trouble getting the principles of The Secret to work this book can help! Eight months ago, my husband and I began following The Secret. We created a vision board, wrote affirmations, and began visualizing every day, but our financial picture just wouldn't brighten or at least not to the extent we needed. Then two weeks ago we ran across Michael Losier's book, and it changed our lives. This book is so powerful, yet incredibly simple.

In reading the book, we learned why our affirmations weren't working. We also realized that while our desire was strong, our doubt was nearly as strong. Because we were deeply in debt and struggling to get a new business off the ground, we had a hard time believing that prosperity and wealth was possible, no matter how much we wanted it. Consequently manifestation was nearly impossible.

Excited by Losier's easy 3-step process, my husband and I wrote a Desire Statement for our ideal financial situation, followed by a Desire Statement for my husband's ideal career plus our Allowing Statements, which remove doubt. The process was so powerful we could feel the energy shift immediately. Like something gave way inside us. One day later, out of the blue, my husband spoke with an old college roommate he hadn't seen in 10 years. He was looking to take his company to the next level, and they needed someone with my husband's strengths and natural gifts. My husband got off the phone and sobbed with gratitude. A week later, he was offered his own partnership with the company, including salary potential we could only dream about.

After months of concerted visualization and daily affirmations that just didn't seem to work, we attained our ideal financial situation with very little effort and in very little time, thanks to Losier. We wish we would have had this book then. Thank you, Losier!

5 stars A Book for Those Wishing to Attract Clarity

2007-01-22     19 of 21 found this review helpful

Since May 23, 2006, when a friend said to me, "There's this thing called the law of attraction...," I've been most eager to master the art of deliberate attraction.

After eight months spent reading the many books by "the usual suspects," I was beginning to feel overwhelmed and frustrated. Despite my best efforts, I knew I still was missing some fundamental concepts about how best to use the law of attraction in my own life to attract more of what I want and less of what I don't want.

Then I read Law of Attraction by Michael J. Losier, and all became crystal clear.

As a professional trainer and neurolinguistic programming practitioner, Mr. Losier has painstakingly distilled what is clearly a formidable expertise into a very simple, tightly-written guidebook that contains precisely the words (and several images) needed to teach readers precisely what they need to know to USE the law of attraction NOW.

The tools supplied, while simple, are the most useful and powerful I've encountered so far and for me, have done the best job of producing immediate results of any I've tried.

If you are new to the law of attraction, or if you have reached a point at which you'd like to improve your understanding and effectiveness in the fastest, easiest and most direct way possible, buy this book.

5 stars The Law of Attraction os the Best book on Wealth Creation--Period!

2005-06-29     19 of 20 found this review helpful

The Law of Attraction is a very simple law that can be made to be quite complex, leaving many scratching their heads and giving up out of pure frustration with the subject. This book does the BEST job of any regarding this subject of making the concept simple enough for anyone to understand and implement into their lives. Also the author outlines and simplifies the process as so that you can begin attracting into your life by the end of the day. This book is a MUST for everyone to read. I don't know anyone who doesn't want to attract something better into an aspect of their lives and this book outlines how in matter so simple my first grader understood it.
Do yourself a favor and get this book for you and those you love. You will not be sorry and you will be better for it!

5 stars Very powerful book - well written and life changing

2005-03-29     19 of 21 found this review helpful

Michael really knows what he is talking about. I have studied The Law of Attraction for a long time, and he taught me a lot more, including eliminating words you don't want to attract... such as these three words: "don't, not, no"

Those words bring more of what you don't want... so try to not use them for at least three days and watch the wonderful difference it makes. If you slip up, ask yourself "what do I want" and say that instead, this makes you do a flip switch to the "what you do want" area so you get more of that instead, and your now in a better, higher vibration.

This was just one of the many area's he helped me to improve my self, so thank you Michael.

This book is very helpful in many area's. I highly recommend it, great book.

5 stars Every Moment is an Opportunity

2007-08-22     18 of 19 found this review helpful

"Law of Attraction" is a very attractive book! It is well conceived, well designed, easy to follow (each section builds on the last and follows a very logical progression) and appeals to very different types of readers. It is also an excellent tool for self-discovery and is very helpful for any one who is not satisfied with what they currently attract and wishes to discover how to change that and allow what they want to come into their life.

I love the idea expressed in the book that the Law of Attraction "does not remember" and only responds to the vibration you are sending right now. This is a very freeing principle. Basically, it gives you infinite number of chances to start fresh in the moment without dragging your history of failures with you. Each moment is new and an opportunity to start going for what you want.

In that respect the book reminds me of another wonderful book by Ariel and Shya Kane called "Working on Yourself doesn't Work". That book is also an amazing tool for personal transformation and delivers the keys to a fulfilling life based on a moment-to-moment awareness of what we create in our lives. I recommend it strongly to anyone seeking Transformation and Enlightenment.

After watching The Secret DVD several times, I was wondering if there was a practical, how to manual out there. Well, there is! The Law of Attraction was just what I was looking for. I especially appreciated the alternative statements provided for skeptics like me. I am a very logical person, and saying that I am grateful for something which has not ocurred yet seemed like a lie to my mind. The book is also short enough for my limited attention span, yet complete as possible. All in all I was very pleased with the selection of this book.

This book is wonderful in its simplicity. After reading it cover to cover and following all the steps it started to change my life. My first focus was career and in just 8 weeks I have been on more interviews and than I ever dreamed of for career opportunities that are a dream come true. I just returned from a trip to Atlanta today and think I am going to land the job. Tonight I will manifest on my desire statements and help make this huge change a reality. Like the books says - the Law of Attraction is working around you at all times - do YOU want to control it or let it control you. I voted to take control and have seen a huge change in my already rewarding life. I plan to use some of the concepts with my sales staff. Very motivating!

4 stars Great Simple Reminder

The thing I liked most about this book is that it was a simple lesson in training your thoughts and being mindful of what you want rather than what you don't want. Once you've finished reading, it's easy to go back to on a daily basis to flip through, reflect on, and absorb. The lessons are succinct and valuable. This is something I will continue to go back to on a periodic basis to help me to keep my thoughts on track.

The only "universal law" at work here is the UNIVERSAL LAW OF HUMAN GULLIBILITY, which states: "Whenever you tell people that they can substitute wishful thinking for real work, they'll go for it every time." This law has been stated in the past by P.T. Barnum ("there's a sucker born every minute") and by W.C. Fields ("you can't cheat an honest man; never give a sucker an even break or smarten up a chump.")

He not only tells you, but teaches you; how to identify and focus on what you want, raise your vibration, and allow it in.I am truly grateful to have "Attracted" this book into my life and I recommend it to all of my students, clients, and friends who want to learn how to attract and create an Ideal Life.

3 stars Law of Attraction; Makes perfect Sense

2007-02-19     15 of 19 found this review helpful

This is by far not the first or only book written on this subject, one that seems to be everywhere you look these days, but this is one of the few that has step by step actions given to you on how to make this work in your life.
I am impressed with the ease of the writing as it makes it easy to get through and understand how to put it into practice, I even have my teenager reading it.
I think deep down we already know these things and see it at work in our lives everyday, this explains better what we are doing and how to pay attention so we can draw in the positive and not live in the negative. The Law of Attraction makes perfect sense to me.

5 stars Finally, a book that gets to the point without all the fluff

2007-09-14     14 of 14 found this review helpful

There are many books out there on positive thinking that paint rosy pictures as they embrace the concept of "just think positive and your life will be perfect too." And about the time I'd really wrap my brain around the idea that I must always think positive inevitably, something totally beyond my control, would go terribly wrong. A family member would be diagnosed with a serious illness. Or my spouse would lose his job. Next thing I know I'm blaming myself for not thinking positive enough and tossing the book aside, thinking that it's nothing more than feel-good New Age hooey.

"The Law of Attraction" has an entirely different approach. First the author talks about the power of the words we speak and the words we think. Then he applies practical, common sense excercises to help up change the way were perceive things so we can open our minds to the possibility getting the things we really want in life.

Maybe it's coincidence, (or maybe it's not), but as I've been reading this book some of the things I desire the most are coming my way. No, I've not won the lotto, but little things are improving. And it's those little improvements that have a way of adding up to becoming big things.

Of course, I can't guarantee you'll win the lotto or the perfect man or woman will miraculously show up at your door if you read this book. But if nothing else, it may have you rethinking about the way you look at life.

William Ullathorne, in writing about practical religion, wrote:

"There is no master so large-minded, so generous, who is so well acquainted with you and your requirements as God; no father so loving and bountiful; no friend so free from all jealousy; none who so completely loves you for your greater good."

"There is no tyrant so narrow-minded, so proud-hearted, so exacting, so suspicious, so utterly bent on keeping you to your own littleness, as the one we all know so well, of whose tyranny we have had such bitter experience, and who goes by the name of Myself. Yet God or yourself you must choose for your master."

Any practice, body of ideas, method, etc. that puts "self" at the center, any scheme to make You the center of your own world, any rules or laws that revolve around "I" are inherently flawed.

Unless and until we acknowledge God as a person (not a higher power that gratifies the human ego) and learn to put Him first in our every single thought, word, and deed, can we even begin to understand His law of attraction, the ultimate law and true meaning of the little word -love.

If you have seen the Movie "The Secret" you'll be keen to find out how to have "The Law of Attraction" work for you.

In Michael Losier's Book....."The Law of Attraction" he outlines how to get started and lays down the ground work. He says most people do not know what that want, but they sure know what they do not want.

Michael explains how to put it into a three step process.

Michael says just write down every thing you do not want,.... that's easy, "Grumpy Clients", "Over Priced Listings", "Un-Motivated Buyers & Sellers", "Rude Clients", etc.
Then you can easily write down a list of what you do want. "Happy & Motivated Buyers and Sellers", "Well Priced Listings", "Polite & friendly Clients",
Then once you know what you want to attract, you now need to allow what you want such as your Goals, By allowing, you must eliminate "All Doubt", for it to happen.

Michael shows you how to change the outcome of your day to day life, and explains to you how to see your dreams and desires happen. Very easy to read and understand book, just buy it and read it, it'll make a huge change to your life....once you learn how to change your Vibrations. Enjoy !

Thanks Michael !

Of all the books that I have read about the Law of Attraction, this one is by far my favorite. Not that there was anything wrong with the other books or authors but this book does the best job to show you how to adjust your thinking so the LOA can work for you.

Keep in mind that this book was written for the masses so if you are expecting a high level intellectual masterpiece, this isn't it. If you want a low level masterpiece that anyone can understand and apply then this may be the best "How-to" book out there.

If you want to learn all about the LOA then there are probably better, more thorough books out there for you. If you want to learn how to apply the LOA then this is the place to start.

The Laws of Attraction are no longer a secret! Michael tells you in clear terms, step-by- step what you need to do to attract anything your heart desires.

And the truth is if you look closely at what he is saying--you are utilizing these ideas to attach what you currently have in your life. However after you read this book you will learn how to apply these principles in a scientific manner to achieve the positive desired results in your personal and professional life that you only dream about.

If you are not satisfied with your current situation in life--I urge you to read this book and apply its principles today. Mike will not ask you to do anything that will cost you a lot of more, a lot of time or your health. His method is simple and strait forward: "Change your beliefs, change your life". (And how to change your beliefs is outlined clearly in this book)

I love his down to earth and practical approach. No woo-woo in this book. Well worth money.

I am today happily among the many people who have discovered 2 remarkable and spiritually fulfilling books: The Law of Attraction and Nexus: A Neo NovelIn fact, if you click on this Nexus: A Neo Novel link, you'll find amazon.com has paired this book with The Law of Attraction while amazon.ca has paired it with The Secret. It's an opportunity to buy 2 great books, as I did, at a low package rate.

The Law of Attraction is all about focusing on positive outcomes to achieve desired results. It is also a spiritual book that emphasizes the overcoming of problems and fostering of goodness when channeling positive energy. It is not a panacea or cure-all, in my view. Rather, it offers very welcome and helpful approaches to assisting - not guaranteeing - the achievement of greater fulfillment in life.

In contrast, Nexus: A Neo Novel is a novel, but a novel that happens to contain a great many highly effective spiritual teachings and selections from Deborah Morrison's earlier work, Mystical Poetry, that you can meditate to. Nexus also emphasizes the achievement of positive outcomes by reaching your inner core, or nexus. To read this book is to take a personal journey of self-discovery. Both books offer very sound advice and effective approaches and both are highly recommended. Nexus: A Neo Novel

3 stars A nice little book, an introduction of sorts

2007-02-10     13 of 15 found this review helpful

This book is very basic, but that's what many people are looking for. I think most people would benefit more from QUANTUM SUCCESS or SECRETS OF ATTRACTION by Taylor. Those combine the energy of thought and Universal Law into one amazing connection of cause and effect. More than that, though, they really show how we tend to sabotage ourselves. When you read those two, you repeatedly get the sensation, "Oh my God! THAT'S the reason," and everything becomes clear. Not only that, you get the tools to remedy the situations that are holding you back! This "new" wave of Law of Attraction books is okay to start with, but if you want real revelations, go to QUANTUM SUCCESS and get the whole picture!

1 stars Too much space, too little substance

2008-04-18     11 of 15 found this review helpful

I bought this book based on all the high reviews.
I wanted to love it.
I couldn't

I finished the book in under fifteen minutes because of all the useless fluff. The writer uses almost every trick in the book to stretch it out: strange type-sets, oversized diagrams with minimal information, random page breaks, noncontributory worksheets, and pages of self-lauditory praises.

This whole book can be summed up in three points:
1. Figure out what you want.
2. Focus on it.
3. Allow it to happen.

I wouldn't be so bitter if there was substance--there wasn't.
Instead, the book prevents dangerous pseudoscience--ideas like "don't figure out things, allow the law of attraction to solve it for you." "Allow your friend to pay your tab so that you can increase in abundance."

No insight. No life-changing anything. Just another excuse to kill trees. Oh, and if you look closely on page 5, he acknowledges that he's ripping off of Jerry and Esther Hicks.

Instead, I'd recommend Dale Carnegie's classic "How to win friends and influence people." It's vastly better in all respects.

You're welcome to disagree with me. However, I recommend that you borrow both this book and Carnegie's from the library before buying. I almost guarantee that you'll keep Carnegie's.

-Matt

ps. I usually keep my books, but I'll be selling this one right away.

1 stars completely disagree with this concept!

2007-07-03     11 of 36 found this review helpful

i bought this book just curious of this so called "law of attraction"...well, i can now say that i completely disagree with it. i can agree that if we pray for something and totally believe it will be given to us and trusting in God completely, we will receive it...however, in the reverse, thinking that if we focus on bad things, bad things will come to us is ludacrous! i cannot believe that God would put bad things in our lives just because of our thoughts and feelings. He is a Merciful God and doesn't play games like that with us. i know this from experience...i was placed in a bad situation more than once...one being an abusive relationship...i know for a fact i did not "attract" this into my life. i didn't grow up in that atmosphere and my mother taught me to be strong and independent, so this situation was NOT my fault! i didn't focus on abuse or anything of that nature before this man came into my life. but now i guess one would say, what kind of Merciful God would give this to me...well, now i am actually grateful for the experience i had. i wouldn't change it. don't get me wrong, it was terrible at the time, but i gained so much from it--strength, wisdom, courage, gratitude, etc etc. i am a much better person from it. and that's why i know that God puts things in our lives for a very good reason. it may seem bad at the time, but in the end you will always see a silver lining if you look hard enough and far enough. this is like poor people--some say, oh they attracted that into their lives. NO, God has given this situation as a test. and most of them accept it gratefully. as a matter of fact, it can be a blessing. some of the "poorest" people are the best people at heart. and some of the "richest" people are the most wretched. "poor" people are content with what they have. the "rich" always want more and are never satisfied. i would much rather be content than constantly grabbing for more and more...wearing myself thin trying to attain "things" when my life is passing me by like the blink of an eye...then what do i have to show for myself in the end?? things?? i would much rather have wisdom, strength, courage, and gratitude...enjoying the life that God has given me...just being happy to be me and to have lived the life i've lived...being free from chasing all its fancies. this in my book is TRUE freedom.

i honestly believe this "law of attraction" is made up. i looked it up to see if this is an actual law of science and IT'S NOT! it's pseudo-science, meaning, it's not genuine science, but only having the appearance of it. come on people! please be careful with what you believe. this is a dangerous trap. and so easy to fall in....i almost fell in myself. i don't fault the author as he probably just fell in too. this is a serious trap from satan...if you want to look further, just look at the so called "teachings of abraham" by esther hicks, one of the biggest preachers of this cult. she says she channels an entity named ABRAHAM....what an enticing name for this entity to have--the father of all the three monotheistic religions--judaism, christianity, and islam. what a brilliant plan satan has! don't be fooled! this way of thinking leads to many things--believing that the 'universe' can somehow bring you things--well, who created that universe?? or even worse, thinking you are a god and can bring these things into your life, arrogantly forgetting the One who gave you life. please be humble to your Lord and worship Him and only Him. the universe doesn't deserve your prayers and you are NO god, so please listen to your heart and your common sense and don't fall for this trap.

I've been tinkering with Law of Attraction since the first week in March, 2007, and it's now June. There have been signs, my belief sometimes wavers. However, if there's one book I'd reccomend on the subject, it would be this one.
It's my favorite because there are clear and concise exercises you can do to raise your "vibration". Where some of the other books on the subject seem to expect one to be delusional and live in a fantasy world, this one is very helpful with the wording of your manifestations. And it's all written out quite simply, it's truly up to the reader to do the work.
Though I suggest reading some other books on "LOA" as well, this one is for me, the most pro-active.

5 stars Simple and to the point

This is a good book if you don't want a lot of explanation. It's simple, easy to understand, and the exercises are straight forward.
If you want something more indepth that covers MANY common questions people have on the Law of Attraction, I highly recommend The Law of Attraction by Esther and Jerry Hicks.
I really liked this book, but for me, none of them would have made much sense had I not seen The Secret by Rhonda Byrne first to give me a foundation.

Unlike many of the "feel good" books that uplift your spirits with hope to ultimately bring you down with simplistic claims that do not work, Michael Losier's "Law of Attraction" provides practical methods that can be tested for their validity. As a clinical psychologist I specialize in how cultural beliefs affect the immune system. Consequently, I am profoundly aware of how our thinking can influence our wellness, but more importantly, how beliefs are resistant to change because of our fear of joy. With a background in Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Michael Losier takes these resistances into account when he offers solutions to change our deprivation mentality. Based on my clinical experience, I can go a step further and argue that, in addition to the suggestions made in "Law of Attraction", when a person begins to see positive results based on their new approach to challenges, there is an empowering effect that enhances immune function and wellness.
I strongly recommend this book for those who are ready to give up beliefs and behaviors that do not serve them well. "Law of Attraction" is an excellent tool for positive change.

Fascinating concept and a well written book. No this isn't the "secret" to life as some books make out to be, but is does jolt you into thinking positive and provides the reader with practical everyday mental exercises that actually do work. To paraphrase Albert E. Every single person in the universe has one important decision to make, is my life a friend or foe.

4 stars Not necessarily science

2007-03-08     11 of 15 found this review helpful

This is mainly a self-help guide to those who believe in the power of positive thinking. While it isn't harmful to engage in dreaming of the perfect job, house, or mate, reality is taking the necessary steps to achieve those goals. Expecting they will appear out of thin air isn't realistic, however, having a clear and concise picture of specific goals certainly is a first step in getting there. Yes, miracles do happen and sometimes luck plays a part, but when you talk to successful people, they not only focused on their dream, but also worked hard to achieve it.

5 stars Wow, it works

This is one of the best and most wonderful and easy to follow books ever written on the Law of Attraction. I love the Abraham-Hicks things the most, but not everyone is ready for those. This book and Michael's teachings and easy to follow steps and guide are just what everyone needs to help them focus and get what they want. My sister and I have been having miraculous events daily since reading this and taking it to heart. Read the book, change your world. If you like this one you'll probably like the Attractor Factor by Joe Vitale too. Both are so very well done and such great tools. Read them...

1 stars Terrible. Simplistic.Moronic. And not much of it.

2007-07-17     10 of 19 found this review helpful

First of all, with spacing, blank pages, large type, and generous formatting, the actual text of this book is maybe 1/3 of what is advertised. This thing is nearly a pamphlet.

Second, this book is really moronic. The book basically boils down to the concept of positive framing. In other words, rather than yell at yourself and others, "Don't be late!", you are supposed to say, "Let's arrive on time."

Um, okay.

While there might be some general value to the concept of positive thinking/phrasing, you can't expect the kind of results the book insinuates, like winning contests or tackling major life events. The book says if you aren't winning, it's your fault and you need to think harder...sigh.

There is certainly nothing magical about this book. The message is as old as the hills, and stated in different ways, over and over again, and it doesn't appropriately limit its scope to things that positive framing would have control over. There is no data, no evidence, and no significant psychological insight.

A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.

If you are looking for something positive and proactive for your life to turn things around, buy something from a legitimate therapist like Edward Hallowell, Martha Beck, Burns' cognitive therapy books, or Robert Goleman. Heck, even Dr. Phil would be a giant step up from this drivel.

The life you are living is what you've attracted through your thoughts. Whatever you focus on in your thought, you create in your daily life. Losier is in alignment with many writers in the field of prosperity and abundance. What separates him from the others is that he offers a manual for change with a step-by-step approach.

Losier asks us to attract what we want into our life through three simple steps: identify your desire, give it attention and allow it. What could be easier? Still results are only possible through consciously focusing your attention on your desire and at the same time letting it happen. This requires an active engagement on your part if you want to see transformative results. The approach is not about intellectually figuring out the how. It's about getting excited about your desire and then letting it happen with an inner security and confidence that the universe will work towards attainment of your desire.

This is a great book for self development and also try the following books:

Nexus: A Neo Novel
Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires

3 stars I was a little disappointed with this book

2007-05-13     9 of 9 found this review helpful

I bought this book along with "The Law of Attraction: The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham" and I read this book first. It is basically a workbook culled right out of the other book, and seems to be designed for people who like to follow detailed instructions - perhaps I'm not in the target market for the book, judging by all the other glowing reviews, but I found the advice in here makes what is in fact a fun and effective way to succeed, into quite a complicated chore. For me, it's not needed and I wish I could send it back.

If you have a poor imagination and limited skills at creating a project and executing it, perhaps this book is for you. It is definitely not for me. I love the other book, by the way, and I'm having excellent success with it. This one was basically a redundant and useless purchase that was pushed on my by the Amazon recommendation machine. I recommend buying "The Law of Attraction: The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham" first, and if you find you have trouble executing the process, by all means buy this book for some practical advice, but do not buy them together.

I've been listening to this guy drone on for about the last hour and I just can't take it any more. I am listing mine right back in the Used Copies for sale section. This guy obviously likes to make lists, enjoys lists, and finds lists fascinating. I do not.

He can't just make a strong point about something and move on, instead he has to support his conclusions with a detailed list of every possible thing associated with that point. I counted 17 items in mercilessly detailed list of how to train your mind to think about the LOA when he could have made the same point in a single, well-worded sentence. It's like he needed to flesh out the book so he decided to stretch out every idea to it's ultimate conclusion instead of giving you genuinely useful information and techniques. I think the LOA is fantastic, but I don't think this is a very good resource to learn about it. I just found it repetitive and annoying.

4 stars Simple, Practical Approach

2007-08-11     8 of 8 found this review helpful

This is a simple, practical approach to the law of attraction, which states that we create everything in our life through our thoughts and feelings either consciously or unconsciously. This book makes you consciously aware of how through your words you are attracting what you don't want into your life instead of what you do. I read Nexus: A Neo Novel where the main character Logan Andrews struggles with negative thinking and he learns about changing his thoughts and feelings through experiences at a spiritual retreat. The two books together offer unique insights into transformation.

Losier's book offers a practical guide toward transformation based on clear steps, which include:

Step 1: Identify Your Desire
Where we learn about the importance of limiting contrast in all areas of our life

Step 2: Give Your Desire Attention
Giving attention to your desire increases vibration

Step 3: Allow It
You learn where doubts come from, how limiting beliefs are holding you back and a useful tool in helping you to allow

Losier also offers practical tools and tips to help you in your development towards attracting what you want in your life. "Law of Attraction" by Michael Losier is in my opinion the most practical book on the subject and I highly recommend it. I gave a four because I'm still waiting to manifest my dream man. ;)

This book lives up to its claims. However, you really need to focus to achieve what you want and that requires a lot of energy. It does work to a point for small requests but the larger ones seem nearly impossible, even if you follow all the steps. And if you don't get what you want the book in turn says you did something wrong or you're not "allowing" it to be. Overall, if you have a strong will and determination, this book will work for you.

Michael explains the principles with easy to understand examples. This book is incredibly easy to read and understand which makes it extremely valuable.
I recommend this book for young people to help them identify their 'ideal mate' and to enable them to set goals in all areas of their lives. And I recommend it to everyone else who has been 'living in darkness'.

This book is complete trash! Listen to an example I will paraphrase below:
When you buy a lottery ticket, but have doubts about winning, it will take longer to win. If you expel all your doubts, the more good vibes you will put out, and the faster you will win.

Why is everyone acting like this is the best thing since sliced bread? Save yourself some time, money, and headache. The intro talks about what is fact and proven laws. Not sure how they can then go on to talk about how this is a Law.

5 stars If you are not a skeptic read on

2007-09-19     7 of 7 found this review helpful

This book is unbelievable. Not quite true, I BELIEVE! I have been studying the law of attraction going on a year now. I discovered it while reading another book and a friend gave me a CD to listen to. After reading one sentence in that book and after listening to the CD, it all came together. I finally understood "Think and Grow Rich". Since then I have stumbled along the path falling off and occasionally finding my way back. One of the things the speaker said on that CD was the law of attraction was "easy stuff, hard to apply". Now thanks to this book it's easy stuff, easy to apply.
I was searching for something on the internet not even related to the law of attraction, and I saw this book. I went out shopping a couple days later. While I was at a table full of books, I picked one up randomly and underneath was this book. I bought it took it home and read it in a couple of hours. I started to use some of the tools and SHAZAM!
I have been working to fill my schedule and at mid month I only had ONE appointment. After just reading this book and beginning to use the tools and barely getting started on the worksheets and journal, I am glad to say that my schedule is FULL through the next week. You may call it coincidence or whatever, but I am getting what I asked for. One client was handed a list of five companies to call. When I asked why she called me she said "You were lucky number 5!" I also only want to attract clients that are willing to pay me what I am worth for my services, no more price shoppers. Guess what, everyone that has called asked how much as an afterthought (this very rarely happens). I did have one prospect that was price shopping today, but she wanted an appointment that was already taken. I guess the universe weeded her out for me.
The long and the short of it is read this book, put it into action and watch out. Whether you are just discovering the law of attraction, or you have been stumbling blindly across its path, this book makes it easy to ask, believe and receive.
Thank you Michael Losier.

I do agree that words have vibrations and attract to us good circumstances, circumstances that we don't want and even in-between or average circumstances. The author clearly has every intention to help others through this book. Words are powerful. We can choose what we want to attract. The book teaches how to vibrate positive thoughts in order to attract whatever we want to create in our lives. Why not focus on service to others and for the good of all and we can really have a heaven on earth. One can create beautiful things and circumstances in one's life.

I have to admit it. This slim volume was a good, quick read. I haven't had a physics class since high school long ago and it was a nice refresher.

Basically, electicity and magnetism are flip sides of the same coin (thus... electromagnetism). I think the author may have put some magnets in this book because when I was in the bookstore walking by the shelf where this book was, I was strongly attracted to it.

Devious? Yes. Just a marketing ploy? Maybe. But lets face it, I plunked my dollars down on the counter and paid for the book, so those magnets sure did work.

5 stars Truly Enjoyable Read

One night I sat down and starting reading the "Law of Attraction" by Michael J. Losier. It was fast reading and quite enjoyable. The exercises were not only fun I got a lot out of doing them.

I really liked the chapter called "Why Using Affirmations May Not Raise Your Vibration." In this chaper Losier let's us know that an affirmation is something that is spoken in the present tense and is used to declare a desire. He uses the example of saying "I have a happy, slender body". If this is not really the way you feel you are still sending out negative vibrations.

This brought to mind what Ariel & Shya Kane say in their book How To Create a Magical Relationship They helped me see that what one resists, will persist in their life and grow stronger. How this translates in the "weight example" is if a person resists not being slim, but wants to be, they will stay fat.

Losier says to state your affirmations (or what you want to have in your life) as a process. I tried this and it does feel good. In my case it was: "I am in the process of growing my business" and it has been growing! I also highly recommend the Kane's new book Being Here: Modern Day Tales of Enlightenment

4 stars Law of Attraction

2007-09-26     6 of 6 found this review helpful

For people new to the concept of the Law Of Attraction (they are probably getting fewer and fewer in these days of "The Secret"): The basic idea behind this concept is that human beings (unconsciously) attract more of the same that they think and talk about, whether good or bad. The Law ignores if you think of it in the negated form (e.g. even if you think "I don't want more debt", the Law filters out "debt", and you will get more debt).

Now, if you believe in this concept, this book will be a great assistant in helping you focussing on the positive things you want to attract, and offerering suggestions how to rephrase negative thoughts into positive. Michael first introduces a simple 3 step plan to get you going. For each of the steps he offers several different tools to put the ideas into practice. Different tools are good, since they may appeal differently to varying reader types. He includes many "work sheets" (not much more than simple tables) to help with the preparation and the process itself.

As a conclusion, Michael ends with a few special tips on attracting abundance, good relationships, and how to teach the concept to children.

This is a pretty short book about one concrete topic. I feel Michael did a good job in filtering out all the mumbo-jumbo behind a simple concept and present it in an easy to understand form with clear guidelines how to apply it effectively.

I am rating Michael's book, not the Law Of Attraction. Whether you want to believe in that you have to decide for yourself :-)

4 stars Good "How to" book

2007-09-14     6 of 6 found this review helpful

This is my humble suggestion: "Please do not get this book as your introduction to the "Law of Attraction". There is only one (short) page on "The Science of the Law of Attraction", which doesn't explain, show, or prove anything regarding why or how it works.

But if you are comfortable with, believe and understand "The Law" and are still looking for a book that would show you a simpler way to use it on your day-to-day activities, then this is the book for you.

When I noticed this was a "how to" book I thought to myself: "Oh no, lost money here, I already know the 3 steps, I already know about paying attention to the feelings, etc... What new information could I ever find useful in this book?"

I was pleasantly surprised.

I think the power of this book is in its simpe, focused and specific approach. The author is able to breakdown the three steps into examples and exercises that are based on challenges and desires we face everyday. They actually make a lot of sense and you might find yourself saying: "a ha! That is how you do it!"

This book was exactly what I was looking for and has provided a perfect roadmap for changing my life. It is formatted in a way that is easy to comprehend and the ideas are a breeze to implement. I have experienced countless examples of attracting what I want as a result of what I have read. It's empowering and perhaps shares what we have all "known" all along, but never gave attention to. I now realize what is important to focus on, if the desire is to exact positive change. Highly recommended read.

An excellent "How To" book that teaches you to apply the Law of Attraction. I would read Rhonda Byrne's "The Secret" first, to really understand the "Why." In applying the techniques learned in this book, I have found better sleep, helped a friend during cancer treatments, attracted qualified applicants to positions that are difficult to fill, released anger and sadness from prior painful events and relationships, MONEY and lots of it. The clarity though contrast worksheet appears simple, but it is not easy. Often times we are so emotionally invested in what we don't want that it is difficult to clearly see what we DO want. Use a trusted friend to help you. Express gratitude. Gratitude enriches the soul, and acts as a powerful turbo-charger to attract our desire. May abundance be yours!

LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!
If I could give it more than 5 stars I would! Michael Losier breaks down the Law of Attraction into bite size pieces and make it relevant to the day to day.
My first exposure to the Law of Attraction was by watching th movie The Secret. That wet my appetite but knew there had to be more... then I found this book and it brought it ALL home and showed me how to apply it to my life and my business.
It is definitely a must read!!!

I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in delving into the fundamentals of attracting more positive and less negative. These are laws that are always at work, whether we are conscious of them or not. Time to start working with and not against the Life Force. Book is a cinch to read: I started the book at 2 and finished it at 5:30. Simple, clear, wise, and practical, with plenty of exercises, insights, and examples. May be used not only for material gain, but for much deeper growth. I will be referring to it often in the days and weeks ahead.

I enjoyed this book not only because it shares practical wisdom, but also in its approach to forming new, positive habits. In my opinion, included worksheets and many tools easily helps readers to capture their insecurities is what really sets this book apart from similar products.

I highly recommend Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't by Michael Losier, for anyone who's ever wondered "How do I actually do it?"--to make a positive change, but didn't know who to ask. This book delivers the HOW in very easy to read language.

This book is simply awesome! It's short, easy to read, and immediately implementable. This book is all meat, there is no fat.

In a nutshell: What do you want? Focus your mind on that, and expect it to manifest itself. And it WILL.

I was skeptical when I bought this book, but my first test of the ideas produced immediate, verifiable results. I don't know why it works, but it works WELL! Filled with inspirational, non-religious ideas and practical exercises, The Law of Attraction is worth taking a long hard look at. You won't be able to stop yourself from taking immediate action when you read how easy it is to use this very simple system.

I recommend this very highly and I am buying copies for friends and loved ones. Get this book! You'll thank me for it!

5 stars Best 'How To' book out there right now on the Law of Attraction.

This is a very practical and hands on book with excellent examples to help you get started attracting what you want most in your life. It is extremely easy to read, concise and to the point. The best part about it is that it is written is such a way that it all comes together and makes perfect sense. I actually read it in one afternoon, and then went to Mr. Losier's website and downloaded the worksheets. In my opinion, right now, there is no better book out there to show you 'How' to start attracting everything you want in your life.

On a side note, if you have the chance to see Mr. Losier speak at his one of his seminars, don't miss it. He is an excellent speaker and conveys the material extremely well. Mr. Losier even goes into greater detail and provides examples not found in the book. Well worth the money and time.

Not alot of extra words or exhausting paragraphs, but straight to the point ideas and a mapped out plan to implement the teaching. I've read a bunch of other related books that mention the same ideas in different context, but this one sums it up quite nicely, with great examples. Best $$ you'll ever spend to get what you want.

5 stars Clear, concise explanation of the concept

2007-09-27     5 of 5 found this review helpful

Much has been written lately about the law of attraction . . . however,
LAW OF ATTRACTION by Michael J.
Losier explains the concept in a clear, concise fashion that is as good
as anything else I've seen.

Losier, naturally, presents a definition of the law of attraction; i.e., I
attract my life whatever I give my attention, energy and focus to, whether
positive or negative . . . he then reveals a three-step program to take
the law and apply it to your life immediately, using examples involving
such everyday situations as finding an ideal mate and increasing
your personal wealth.

I particularly liked the tools he gave for allowing (the absence of negative
vibration) . . . one of my favorites was to use the expression "lots
can happen" whenever you notice a lack of results . . . consider
whether this could happen in the next few days, the next week or
in the next 30 days . . . the answer is almost always "yes."

Losier also encourages his readers to always say "yes" to money . . . for
example, he notes:

A lot of people feel challenged to say yes when someone offers
to pay for their lunch or buy them a gift or wants to simply
give them money. Many people when offered to have their
lunch paid for respond with "No that's okay, you don't need
to do that," or "Oh no, I'll pay for my own. You don't have to buy
me lunch," or "Oh no, I couldn't!" Does this sound like you or
someone you know?

In all of these statements you can hear resistance to receiving
money. The new you, however, will learn to say "Thanks, I would
like that," and you'll start to feel good about it. You may experience
discomfort at first but as you continue to say yes, it will get
easier and you will feel your resistance fading away. This in turn
opens up your allowing for more money.

So if anybody reading this wants to spring for my lunch
or even dinner (hint-hint), I accept.

LAW OF ATTRACTION concludes with an excellent section
on how parents and teachers can share the concept with
children . . . what a marvelous idea!

5 stars Very easy to understand!

Many people didn't like the book because it was fairly short, easy to read and it kept repeating itself. He repeats himself so it gets embedded in your head. Such an awesome book! It can take you less than a week to read this book! Very informative. I know and use the law of attraction for a while now but this book introduced me to new methods! Awesome book- definitely a MUST READ!

5 stars Not New Age Bunk

2007-08-12     5 of 6 found this review helpful

Michael has given us a "how to" manual for using 'The Secret'. I would recommend this over the Abraham-Hicks books that some reviewers have suggested simply because this is about a universal law that works all the time. Abraham-Hicks is New Age crap based on communication I believe is from a spirit from the dark side of the universe, if it actually happened.

There is nothing New Agey about the Law of Attraction. If the principles are applied they will work...they do for us on a daily basis.

5 stars Practical Helpful and Applicable

2007-08-07     5 of 5 found this review helpful

Losier elaborates on how the law of attraction works and how one can create vibrations that draw in people possessing similar positive vibrations, i.e., "like attracts like." His simple to follow steps walk you through the subtle ways of preventing negative vibrations from occurring by default. One of those commonly overlooked areas is what he labels "allowing." "Allowing is the absence of negative vibration (doubt)," he writes. It's step three in the process described in the book.

Worksheets provided throughout the book help you to apply what he is teaching at various sections. He encourages you to celebrate small victories along the way. By that he means that as you see that you are attracting what you desire, regardless of how small the result, realize the principle is at work. As you recognize it those positive vibrations will grow and attract other positive vibrations.

We're told that the subconscious does not know whether you are celebrating the past, imagining the future, or visualizing what you desire, it acts based on feelings. He discusses how to active that part of your brain.

Many different kinds of life experiences are covered in Losier's "Law of Attraction". Opposite poles on different magnets attract each other and although life can be similar, the converse is also true. People have the tendency to keep repeating their stupid mistakes and never realize it. Sometimes everything seems to work out perfectly in our lives and we have no idea how it happened. Is it fate or reaping what you have sown? When less fortunate people have bad luck, it is too easy to classify them as unlucky losers because they have not read this book. Readers seeking the key to everlasting life may possibly not find some clues in serendipity, synchronicity, fate, karma, luck, and whatever was meant to be, que sera, sera.

5 stars Ask yourself what you want, NOT what you DON'T want....from author of EXPLOSION IN PARIS...

2010-02-01     4 of 4 found this review helpful

This wonderful book confirms and drives home what I try so hard to do...FOCUS on what I DO want as opposed to what I DON'T want. As I always say, "We have the choice to see the GOOD in people and the CHOICE to take the RIGHT road." But it's so hard to do. We create our own reality. When there is a person in your life who chooses to see the bad in you and makes sure you are aware of his or her distaste or low opinion of you, (true or not), you feel bad. This person sees life through critical eyes and only sees bad, ugly and distasteful. It really isn't you at all. It's that person and that person needs to help himself or herself. You can't fix it. We all do the best we can with the hand we are dealt. Sometimes to keep focused on the positive and the good we need to weed people out of our lives so we can stay focused on the positive. If possible, we can try to understand why this type of person does this. It's these peoples own insecurity usually that drives them to try measures to cope that usually involve manipulaion of the people around them. They want so badly to be accepted and loved. After all, that's what we all want most in the world. You'd think that since we all want the same thing basically, why relationships are so hard. These people try to emulate other people on the surface, place themselves on a pedestal to get that attention that is craved. Then when people don't buy into it the person gets irate and lashes out. It's a sad state of affairs and it's hard for the people in these peoples lives to deal with the problem. It takes a very special person to try to understand and deal with the problem. You can spend only so many years trying; sometimes the impossible situation needs to be aborted for the sanity of all concerned. These people are just completely miserable to be around and the irony is that they accuse others of having the very flaws that they are guilty of. Being positive can only go so far. Some situations are impossible and it isn't worth beating yourself up over. There are few Saints in the world, however, one or two DO pop into mind I know personally. I have so many wonderful people in my life, as I'm sure we all do, people I treasure in my life who live the values in this book. We all are surrounded by so many people that we choose to be around because of the genuine, unassuming, caring people they are. In turn, they allow us to be the person we want to be and return their admirable qualities. The hardest is being that positive, genuine person to someone who openly finds fault with everything and everybody. Therein lies the challenge. Sometimes life's challenges force you to make heart breaking choices and what you want doesn't happen no matter how positive you try to be. You can only do the best you can. Even though most of this book is pure common sense, it helps to read the obvious more than once until it's engrained in our brains to stay focused on good vibes. Yes, ask yourself what you want, not what you don't want. This book keeps you focused on LISTENING to your common sense! Ultimately, by all means, project positive, to receive positive. BUY IT! READ IT! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

5 stars What an absolutely strange concept this is.....

2008-03-16     4 of 4 found this review helpful

Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't (2004) - Michael J. Losier

This is one of the most profound books you will ever read, whether or not you "believe" what you are reading. Although the concept of the law of attraction is a little more well known now due to the popularity of the infinitely inferior "The Secret", it is still relatively obscure knowledge to the vast majority of people in the world. How strange this all is to me! It seems to me, idealistic though I may be, that this book alone could solve all of the depression in the world. In fact, it seems as if the key to ultimate happiness lies in here! Maybe I could be simplifying everything, but what I got from this book is that the reason people are unhappy is because they are sending out negative vibrations and bringing more of what they don't want into their life. Thus, all one needs to do is change their thinking. This is all relatively simple information, but it is also truly profound, which leads into all kinds of interesting questions about our society, the nature of humans, civilization, and all of that good stuff. For example, one of the most interesting questions is "why is this so difficult to "believe""? I have brought this book and point up to many people (the fact that "what you think is what you are"), and they just don't seem to believe it. The funny thing is, I had a VERY difficult time understanding this simple fact myself, but why is that? Why is something so simple so difficult to understand and so profound? What has wired our brains to respond to this in such a way? In fact, the only reason I ended up eventually understanding it is because I began to see it in repetition. Like "The Secret" stated, it seems as if there is almost a secret society of people that know and understand this secret, while everyone else doesn't. Try this: Consciously try to look for the law of attraction in everyday life. You will be viciously surprised (like I was) by how much specific people know about it, either consciously or subconsciously. It's truly amazing. Buy this book, read it, follow it, and have your life changed. Bottom line.

Somehow, this book was able to get us into the right state of mind to allow things to flow into our lives, easily! 5 stars Excellent As An Introduction To The Law Of Attraction

2007-09-02     4 of 7 found this review helpful

This Book is excellent as a primer for the law of attraction. Especially if you've just got done watching The Secret Movie and you are curious to know a little more about it. Michael Losier has a very excellent way of explaining how the law of attraction works and how people tend to have the resistance against the things that they want. He has simple illustrations that make it super easy to understand. No complicated exercises or words. No fluff. The book is an easy read, but don't let the simplicity of it fool you.

He also has something in there for children to help children understand the law of attraction and to harness it even if you are a child. I really liked the way he explains things. I have studied many books on the law of attraction, especially books like the Master Key System, which are a little more difficult to understand than the average book, so this was definitely a great refresher of how simple and easy it can really be. I recommend getting this book if you are just beginning to learn about the law of attraction and want an easy way to understand things. This book is for the "terrible two's" child within us. "I don't like this, I don't like that!" It forces you to ask the simple question..."Well what do you want?" Amazingly, adults may need to be reminded to of this. The book goes on to develop techniques to answer the question and implement solutions. As others have written, may not be a major revelation, but the author provides a reminder to discipline the inner child in straightforward manner that will get results.

I love this book. It's a great marriage of the Law of Attraction and Neurolinguistic Programming, and the two are beautiful together. Losier offers some amazingly simple methods of raising your vibrational level or changing your state (depending on whether you come from the Law of Attraction or NLP world). I hope the book comes out on CD so I can listen to it in the car. It's not the most in-depth exploration of either topic, however, so if you're familiar with both schools of thought, and want to see how they work together, this is a good choice.

Another excellent choice on this crossover is Quantum NLP, by Christiane Turner. I have the CD set, and it's truly transformational.

5 stars Terrific Book on Manfestation

2007-03-22     4 of 5 found this review helpful

With all the hoopla surrounding the law of attraction these days, I just read Law of Attraction and think Michael Losier does an excellent job in conveying how to manifest your desires.

I have been successfully practicing the laws of attraction (manifesting desires) for years and wrote how to do this in my book, Harmonious Environment: Beautify, Detoxify and Energize Your Life, Your Home and Your Planet.

Losier explains that you attract what you give energy, focus and attention to. What could be simpler or more true! Most of us are bombarded with stuff every day. The reality is, as you walk or drive down a street, you see only a fraction of what is in front of you--you see what you are tuned into.

For example, if there is a hawk in sight, I will see it, because I am tuned into them, whereas most people won't. (I asked the photographer to keep an eye peeled to the sky duing my wedding ceremony because I knew hawks would be about. As soon as the ceremony was over, three hawks were spotted flying above our wedding party.)

Let's say you are in the market for a new dishwasher. Suddenly, dishwashers are everywhere! Or a particular car, or shoes or cute guys...You simply see what you are focused on.

Mr. Losier discusses how positive and negative energies take a strong role in attracting what we do and don't want. Again, I completely concur.

In fact, being around positive energy helps increase our own! (Keep this in mind when you begin your practice of attracting.) For example, Flowers improve our emotional health and help raise our positive energies. In a study done in 2000 at Rutgers State University,it was found that flowers trigger happy emotions and improve feelings of life satisfaction. Dr. Haviland, the lead scientist in the study said: "Flowers bring about positive emotional feelings in those who enter a room and they make the space more welcoming and create a sharing atmosphere."

Mr. Losier discusses how we must allow those good things to come to us. Yes! Give yourself full permission to recieve! You deserve it!

My successes at manifesting my desires--attracting what I want--have truly been the highlights of my life. I have gotten exactly the right jobs, I met my husband, published a book...

In fact, I am so used to working the law of attraction, that "the little things" often don't faze me. For example, as a designer, I am often on the lookout for the perfect piece of furniture. Am I surprised when I find it? Not anymore.

If you are ready to manifest your dreams, learn the laws of attraction. And for extra power, learn how to rid your home of negative energy and create a sanctuary that resonates with positive energy.

In addition, the science of Law Of Attraction are made to be understood easily.
Exercises or worksheets are also simple, short yet effective.
One simple worksheet that will surprise you would be " what you think about, you will attract, good or bad".A clear distinction of how 'bad" thoughts are included in our 'good' thoughts without us knowing.
Or another situation...10 simple, practical and effective methods on how to allow or receive your intentions.
The motto of the book....short, simple methodologies to understand LOA and short, simple and very effective methodologies to put LOA into action.
A must companion to TheSecret movie.
Excellent book for beginners or experience LOA believers.

this is a fine handbook for someone just getting exposed to the basic concepts that govern the Universe.
What I find distasteful is, the borrowed material right out of Esther Hick's seminars, almost verbatum, without indicating it's source.

I really enjoyed this book because it was brief, direct, concrete and offered clear worksheets that you could personalize (for yourself or for coaching clients). I think the inner work of changing your beliefs and vibration is very important in manifestation. The one thing I would have liked included was an emphasis on action as well-ie: 'I am a famous actor AND I am actively applying for auditions.' Many Law of Attraction books seem to leave out this action part.

5 stars A simple, practical guide to the Law of Attraction

This book is probably one of the most simple, practical guides to the Law of Attraction out there. Michael has done a great job of distilling the concepts into a very quick read with a variety of simple but meaningful exercises.

hile other books bring a great deal of depth and breadth to Law of Attraction concepts, Losier's book is an outstanding resource in its simplicity and accessibility. Use this outstanding introductory book to give you a basic understanding and then graduate to other books like "Ask and It Is Given," by Esther Hicks and "The Attractor Factor," by Joe Vitale." I also highly recommend The Secret (DVD, in particular).

Michael Losier does a great job of simplifying the Law of Attraction. I also like the way in which he mentions the various references he felt were helpful in his learning and understanding of the Laws of Attraction.

5 stars There is something you know but you may not know you know it

2007-02-22     3 of 3 found this review helpful

As you go through life the secret of the Universal Law of Attraction (LOA)may be hiding in plain sight, until it tumbles into your awareness as it did into mine about two years ago.

In my case the Huna Philosophy, with its seven principles, including the world is what you think it is, and Energy Flows where attention goes opened the door. The Law of Attraction nestles within the teachings of wisdom masters such as the Buddha -All that we are arises from all that we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become. With our thoughts we make the world.

Then there is Mark 11:24. Whatever ye desire, ask for it, believe that ye have it, and it shall be yours. The book and movie The Secret uses the Ask, Believe, Receive concept, though without acknowledging its not so secret origin. Imagine you already have it. Imagination, feelings, decisions/actions = results.

This book gets my highest recommendation as the most user friendly book I have read on the topic. You can read this book in hours. The book contains easy to complete worksheets, so you can apply the principles immediately, whether it is to relationships, wealth, career.

In addition, the author is an NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) practitioner, so he demonstrates excellently how to change emotional states from negative to positive, simply by asking a question. Negative states and thoughts are not resourceful in consciously using the Law of Attraction.

Have you ever noticed that you seem to attract similar relationships? He explains how to stop continually attracting relationships we do not want, and get what we want instead. Its amazingly simple, and had me going duh, because until I read this book I made this very common mistake. No other book I have read covers this issue, and it is so important.

Furthermore he demonstrates common limiting beliefs, how to overcome limiting beliefs and resistance, to assist in the allowing process.

Like attracts like, and feelings are important, so if you feel bad, you attract bad situations, and feeling good attracts more good. So, it is important to feel good about whatever you wish to attract into your life, otherwise it will not manifest.

This book is remarkably consistent with the movie, and book THE SECRET, yet is far more detailed on how to apply the principles. Other books I recommend are Ask and it is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks which uses the emotional guidance system, and Secret of the Ages by Robert Collier, and the works of Sanaya Roman, a metaphysical writer. If you want a spiritual book on the topic, check out Florence Scovel Shinn. LOA is definitely a must have book on this topic.

5 stars Inspirational, But tough Reading

2007-02-12     3 of 6 found this review helpful

Losier does a good job of presenting the science of success and how universal laws may be used to personal advantage. My one problem with htis book is that it makes for difficult reading. Please don't let that sway your opinion, instead, take it as a challenge to read and comprehend the vitally important laws of the universe. Laws such as the Law of Magnetism, Law of Attraction, and Law of Pure Desire have achieved a wide popularity recently, which seems to reflect our current rage for advice on how to succeed and achieve our goals. In my opinion, Losier does a good job in this area, delivering a piece similar to the popular book "Shortcut to a Miracle," by Michael and Elizabeth Rann.

If you are interested in something more specifically geared towards financial success, you may want to try the classic "Richest Man in Babylon," by George Clason, or "The 17 Principles of Creating Wealth," by Phillip Collinsworth.

3 stars Practical and Effective

2009-11-07     2 of 2 found this review helpful

If you have been wondering why the Law of Attraction doesn't work in your life, this book has many answers. Michael J. Losier explains why doubts cancel out your best intentions. This book has many worksheets which makes it more practical.

As someone who reads 180 books a year I can say that at times I like to read a small book that gets to the main points quickly and teaches me one or two new things I hadn't thought of before. This book covers the following topics:

How to Identify Your Main Desires
How to Create Desire Statements
How to Get Rid of Limiting Beliefs and Doubts

While some may argue that this is just a summary of other people's teachings, Michael J. Losier gives credit where credit is due. He doesn't pretend to have thought up this idea on his own. Instead he adds to the teachings by explaining how affirmations may be hurting you instead of helping you. He literally shows you how to reword your affirmations so that they become powerful and effective.

You are where you are in life because of the thoughts you have dwelt on whether positive or negative. So it is always useful to read a book that teaches you how to think in a positive way. One of the most interesting sections in the book explains how you can teach this law to children. If you are very positive and still have been attracting negative people into your life this book also presents some revealing facts.

If you are very interested in this subject here is a list of books on the Law of Attraction that I think you will enjoy (they explore the subject more deeply):

The Secret of The Secret: Unlocking the Mysteries of the Runaway Bestseller

The Secret

The Science of Wallace D. Wattles: The Science of Getting Rich, The Science of Being Well, The Science of Being Great

This seems to be a popular book at my library. I am currently on a long list of others waiting to get a chance to read it. I am intrigued by the high number of reviews that indicate how the author presented them with an easy-to-follow process, unlike other books on the topic of Law of Attraction. However, I haven't seen many reviews that indicate that following the process actually attracted the desire into the reader's life. Thus the 3-Stars.

5 stars Great for Novice AND Advanced...

2008-07-31     2 of 2 found this review helpful

It's funny how easy it is to overlook the basics, even if you've studied the Law of Attraction and related principles of manifestation for years. This Law of Attraction book reminded me to review those fundamentals to make sure I've mastered them.

And Michael J. Losier's book is above all practical, which is my kind of book. A minimum of background and theory is offered.

To be nitpicky, I think there's not quite enough there. He references the early 20th century Law of Attraction works, but he curiously does not mention that the concepts of vibration are thousands of years old, dating back to ancient Egypt and Greece.

But what's great about the book is the step-by-step process to make the Law of Attraction really work. For example, his suggestions for altering words and affirmations so they ring true and create positive feelings is very insightful.

The book also includes worksheets to help sort out desires and to allow them to manifest. I'm still working through the "allowing statement," which is supposed to eliminate doubt. That section I find a bit vague.

What I like most about the author is that Michael Losier's been working with the Law of Attraction for many many years -- long before "The Secret" hit the shelves behind its huge marketing engine (clue: Oprah).

Micheal's the real deal and that comes across in his writing. I'm always wary of the slick and polished styles from the books on subjects like these: which seem to really aim to sell more expensive backend products insteading of imparting knowledge. This book doesn't do that. It's a real "how to" book I appreciate.

3 stars You Can't Always Get What You Want...But If You Try Sometimes, You Get What You Need

2008-07-21     2 of 2 found this review helpful

Hey, who would have given the Rolling Stones credit for singing about the Law of Attraction!

I am a big believer that Spiritual books have to have practical application or they are worthless. The Law of Attraction has been around in different forms longer than the author acknowledges in his "Brief History of the Law of Attraction", but in any form it is good to know.

The good news is the author makes it easy to understand and simple to apply to everyday life. He makes it clear that you need to change your perspective to change your vibration. The bad news is that if you think you're going to be able to win the lottery or get every materialistic item on your "desire" list, you are sorely mistaken.

To find out why it won't work in those situations, you need to dig deeper, because there is more to this than what's in the book. For those that want to move forward in their Spiritual advancement, that is the next step

5 stars The Law of Attraction by Michael J. Losier

2008-07-04     2 of 2 found this review helpful

This book is "hands on" training and actually teaches us how to apply the law of attraction in our lives. I recommend it to anyone who has studied and tried to use the law of attraction without much prior success. An excellent read, it works well when used in concert with "The Secret" and/or "The New Earth," as well as others. I can't say enough good things about this book. You simply have to read it and apply its methods to see real and positive changes occur in your lives. Happy reading!

5 stars Its not a primer on the "Law of Attraction" its about implementing it

2008-06-26     2 of 2 found this review helpful

I'm a bit confused about the low rated reviewers stating that this book is not for you if you've read about the "Law of Attraction" elsewhere. They are usually referring to "The Secret" or "Ask and it is Given".

Well I'm going to say that if you HAVE read about the "Law of Attraction" then this book IS for you. Why? because I read the Secret and watched the movie. They are both excellent and inspirational but they are also a bit abstract.

I mean I understood and took to heart the message of the "The Secret" and tried to implement it in a practical everyday sense, but its difficult because you will fall into traps and pitfalls that aren't addressed by "the Secret" such as wording affirmations that are believable to you and don't leave you with doubts because of the little voice in your head contradicting your desires. For exmple you look in the mirror and say you're slim and fit but you're not now, so that little voice reminds you of that fact which then sends out negative emotions while you dwell on not being slim and fit, which in turn brings more of the same.

According to Losier and "the Secret" the faster you remove doubts that you will recieve what you've asked for, the faster your desires will manifest. But where where in the Secret book is it simply explained how to remove your doubts? This is where Losier takes over.

Losier isn't trying to write a treatise on the Law of Attraction, he is simply giving you a simple easy to implement plan to take the fullest advantage of this principal.

So if you are familiar with the Law of Attraction then this book is for you if you need simple tools to apply the laws of attraction. If you haven't read about the Law of Attraction then get either the Secret or "Ask and it is given" before you get this book.

2 stars almost nothing there!

2008-05-26     2 of 2 found this review helpful

This book is 142 pages. It's in large font, and frequently the left page is left with a single quote from the books contents. Several pages are left to use as workbook pages, and the right-side page is often left with text only covering half of it. The author also repeats himself, many many times over within the text. Copying text between his example personas, Greg and Janice. I estimate the actual content to be around 40 pages. Would you pay $12+ for 40 pages in a bookstore?

I really dislike how this whole attraction theme boils down to "it will only work if you believe" because that can be said about anything. It's of course then easy to blame the failure of results on a lack of belief.

That said, I think the book can be a useful motivator. If you follow the advice, no doubt you will have a much more positive outlook on your life, which will rub off on people around you. That typically has a really good effect, whether the universe will actually bring you more things or not.

I'll still give this book 2/5 because it's just so low in content.

I've read Rhonda Byrne's The Secret and Dr. Joseph Murphy's The Power of the Subconscious Mind. As a Catholic, I found the latter better, and it gave me a deeper understanding about the Law of Attraction.

I bought Losier's Law of Attraction knowing that it was a short book, and that the author's approach was more simplistic than other texts. While Byrne treated LOA as a magical force, and Murphy had a more personal and spiritual approach, Losier dishes it out in casual talk-show style. I will stress that there's nothing wrong with his attack.

With this in mind, I appreciated Losier's effort to make the principles of the LOA more accessible. However, I don't recommend this as the introductory book. Get it if you've gone through other more comprehensive texts and would want a quick handy summary to go back to. There are a few tips in the book that Byrne and Murphy don't have, so there's still something unique to be gained.

Law of Attraction was written way before the excitement over The Secret and represents a very easy "How to" so that you can actually work with the concepts. Simple, easy to grasp- even a children's chapter to get our young ones off to a great attitudinal start. The lessons here could go far toward helping to change bad behavior and with assisting the shift in conciousness so that we really do get more of the good stuff and less of the awful stuff. The universe is listening....Let's turn on the light, Let's put Michael on his own TV spot!

1 stars LOA is Flawed

2010-07-23     1 of 1 found this review helpful

I still have a hard time believing that people trust in the supposed LOA. It is not a law. You do not attract what you think about, which is the basic premise. Starving kids are not attracting starvation. It is an immature concept. You may get what you work towards. The LOA crowd who were supposedly influenced by the Science of Getting Rich missed this great books message. The SOGR is about visualization, gratitude and above all personal action. The SOGR is not about attracting at all. Read the SOGR which is free all over the net and when you are ready to take action check out Desired Outcomes Implementation Technology a great ebook which really reasonable and gives an action road map. It is at desiredoutcomes.info I wish these LOA teachers would be more honest about how things come to be in the real world.

The person who narrated this audio CD and/or the way this material is presented is dull & I often found my mind wandering. You may want to try other books & authors on the law of attraction, because this one makes the subject completely uninteresting.

He gave me a copy of his book as part of the seminar, and I was stuck by the way he presented the LOA. Powerful, we had folks saying that it changed their life and achieve so much. He explains manifesting in ways that others have not, and therefore many now can learn the process to attract what they desire. Great book! Thanks for the great presentation!

5 stars Totally Awesome Way to Manifest Heaven on Earth

I highly recommend reading The Law of Attraction by Michael Losier. I have purchased his book for all my friends and their children so that my inner circle would be a vibrational match to me. We all love to play, "SO-What Do You Want?" The moment we define what we do want, we start to experience a new mood or feeling, and Law of Attraction is ALWAYS responding to this better mood or feeling. We all loved to notice what was appearing in our life, that is, what we were attracting. We soon found ourselves manifesting more and more of what we did want, and less of what we didn't want, by putting the Law of Attraction to work for us. This continues to be an awesome game to play when we all want to lift our VIBRATION to be a perfect Match for creating Heaven on Earth!!

3 stars interesting but..

2009-03-29     1 of 1 found this review helpful

The book has many half written pages as other reviewers have noticed, which makes it a quick read. Most of the ideas come from other writers, but this writer, who is also an NLP trainer, seems to concentrate mostly on rewording affirmations to make them more believable.
Overall the Law of Attraction is an interesting concept but it seems to be used only to attract money, clients, a beautiful mate, etc, all kinds of egoistic wishes that are the building blocks of an extreme capitalist society. The examples given in this book and others go in that direction. Bob Proctor wrote in another book : "why do you think that 1% of the population earns around 96% of all the money that's being earned?". I am sure that all the readers want to be among the 1%, but is that all we are here for?
Why not use the Law of Attraction to attract a better world for all?

"The Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't" by Michael J Losier, is a remarkable book that is most clear, practical, & effective.

What I found most useful in this book are the three steps that are presented as a focus to easily integrate into your day to day life. The three steps are:

1. Identify Desire

2. Give Desire Attention (using Desire Statements)

3. Allowing (trust that you will eventually receive your desire/have no
doubt).

I have put these three steps to the test in my own life and have found them to be most brilliant & remarkable since I've already received some tangible positive results! The 'proof is in the pudding' so all I can say is give it a try for yourself.

Even better together:

Check out "Nexus" by Deborah Morrison and Arvind Singh, a highly true to life and inspirational novel. What's even more amazing is that you'll notice that 3 books are offered for a fabulous deal if purchased together...and I personally recommend all three of these books:

5 stars Background on Michael and his advice to writers

2008-10-28     1 of 3 found this review helpful

This is a fantastic book from an inspiring person.

I interviewed Michael for my own book to see how others could learn from his experiences. This is an excerpt from Book Marketing DeMystified: Enjoy Discovering the Optimal Way to Sell Your Self-Published Book, Practical advice from the inventor of print-on-demand (POD) publishing...

Twelve years ago, when Michael Losier wanted to become a public
speaker and motivational trainer, he had lunch with a mentor who advised,
"It is tough to be a successful speaker without a book."

Michael kept that in mind as he progressed through teaching small
groups in his home, to training hundreds of people at a time via telephone
conference calls and seminars around the world. Before he published
his book, for a year he had its cover image showing on his website
with a form to collect names of those wanting it. When he self-published
in 2003, 1,700 copies were sold overnight to people on that list.

Michael's speaking and his book, The Law of Attraction [isbn
9780973224009], soon formed an intertwined single
product with each component boosting the other.
That product package now includes audio CDs and
DVDs, and training for people who wish to teach
the Law of Attraction themselves. At a seminar, Michael
may train as many as 800 people at once, and
then sell 800 copies of his book. He conducted 110
seminars during 2006.

In four years, using the attraction techniques himself, Michael has
sold more than 250,000 copies and appeared four times on Oprah Winfrey's
radio show. He attracted a publishing contract from Grand Central
Publishing (Warner Books) for a hardcover edition to be translated into
28 languages. This fall he'll become a regular expert on Oprah's radio
show.

Michael's advice on producing a book product? "My book was really
the teaching manual for my seminars. I had 8 inches of notes that I
condensed into 100 pages for the book. Present your material in a way
that appeals to all learning styles. Use short chapters that include personal anecdotes and real-life examples, with helpful illustrations to clarify your information."

3 stars A practical guide to using the Law of Attraction

2008-09-16     1 of 1 found this review helpful

Losier's book is a good introduction to the Law of Attraction(LOA) for those who appreciate a more practical step-by-step approach. Its easy to read and I think Losier's worksheets and examples are helpful in breaking down more abstract concepts in a way that everyone can relate to. If you have any skepticism, about the LOA this might be a good start. You will see value in beginning to organize your thoughts about what you want and how you feel about those things. On some level, though, you do need to accept the workings of the LOA. Losier may gloss over these in an effort to reach a broader audience, but he does credit Abraham-Hicks for much of his inspiration and information, so the next step would be to go directly to the source and then your understanding of, and ability to use, the LOA will really take off. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could.

Note: Many have criticized this book for its short length, but content is what matters. For the price, it is good value if you are new to the LOA, after a short read, you'll know enough to start "using" the LOA, which is the whole point.

5 stars Great how-to book on living the law of attraction!

2008-04-06     1 of 1 found this review helpful

Many people are familiar with the law of attraction now, thanks to movies like "The Secret" and "What the Bleep." What I like about this little book is that it provides a concise how-to guide for incorporating the law of attraction into your life.

Briefly, the law of attraction is defined by him as "I attract to my life whatever I give my attention, energy and focus to, whether positive or negative."

He then explains how we give off positive or negative vibrations, which then attract similar vibrations to us. He notes that we can unintentionally attract things to us we don't want by focusing our thoughts and words on what we don't want, rather than what we do want.

The bulk of the book is his explanation of the 3-step formula for deliberate attraction, which includes:
---Step 1: Identify your desire
---Step 2: Give your desire attention
---Step 3: Allow it

He provides worksheets and multiple tools to help you attract what you want into your life.

This book is easy to read and the 3-step formula is easy to apply. I would highly recommend this book for anyone wishing to attract more of what they want into their life.

I saw the reviews of the book and eagerly anticipated the audio version. I received it and was dissapointed. I have heard Michael Losier speak, and he is a wonderful speaker. The reader is boring, has no intonation, basically is monotone. It was almost like he was reading by rote. I tried to pay attention, but my mind kept drifting off. I should have bought the book. It's a "how to" and I think if I had gotten the book, I would have enjoyed it much more.

Michael J. Losier offers a clear, practical guide for those looking to apply the Law of Attraction into their life. You will find this book a refreshing alternative to other books in the field that delve into excessive metaphysical wordiness such as books by Esther-Hicks or go into generalities like "The Secret."

Losier offers a specific step-by-step approach that you can put into action in your own life. The book made me more self-aware of my goals and desires. So it has succeeded on that count. In terms of manifestation...Well I'm still waiting for that. :)

If you are interested in a more metaphysical understanding of the Law, definitely check out "Ask & It Is Given." It's a good intro to Esther-Hicks and their spiritual guide 'Abraham.' I also recommend "Nexus: A Neo Novel" for a psycho-spiritual journey of someone overcoming negative thought.

The book gets down to the basics. His angle was nothing new to me. I was already familiar with the concept of "law of attraction". I expected him to go more into details rather than being so simple. However, it did marinate the same teachings in my brain a little more. It's not worth purchasing. However, you could just check it out at the library. It's a very thin book and it takes no time to read. For more insight, I'll follow-up on this subject with another book.

At the same, from all the books I have read and shared with friends, this was the one most were receptive to and understood when they were done. I loved the simplicity and clarity. My friends appreciated the process and structure it provided. Even the discovery of being "in the process of" being a _________. It made since, no hocus pocus and did not contradict other information I have read on the subject from Joe Vitale, Bob Doyle, etc. Enjoy the complete but succinct approach of the Law of Attraction.

Clearly stated, each page provides valuable information for those wanting to attract their most expansive reality.

This book is worded in an overly simple manner that makes you say "duh" at every turn of page. However, after afew pages of duhs, you realize, why didn't I use this today, or maybe tomorrow I should use this technique. They're all things that you should know, like think positive, or say critisism in a suggestive way rather than a degrading way etc. This does NOT teach you HOW to do those. Just tells you what to do. "Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want & Less of What You Don't" by Michael J. Losier is a fascinating book that demonstrates how SYNCHRONICITY is evidence of the law of attraction. The Law of Attraction responds to your vibration. Your vibration is your feelings, so therefore be joyful, optimistic, compassionate, and content. This facilitates life transformation by means of the power of the law of attraction.

The Law of Attraction explains how it is important for us to discern what our ideal financial situation is, to compose desire statements, overcome negative vibrations, and bring the law of attraction alive by means of creating a vibrational bubble as well as allowing statements.

The Law of Attraction is a most recommended book since it is easy to understand, provides an inspirational process, and an increased understanding of why you don't have what you want yet in order to transform your life.

I enjoyed this book very much. If you are new to the Law of Attraction it is a great place to start. Especially if you want to teach it to children, the final chapter has some great ideas for sharing the LoA with children in an easy to understand manner. If you are already familiar with "The Secret" you probably won't learn anything new in this book. It is very basic.

4 stars Informative introduction to the law of attraction

You will find this book to be a good introduction to the law of attraction but not an in depth study guide. The law of attraction has been around a long time and practiced by many. For those new to the concept this is a good book to begin your journey. Annie B Lawrence, author of Love's Secret Live Your Life In Love

4 stars Well said, well read

The Law of Attraction is an audio book that can instantly help people understand and manipulate their destiny. Written in layman's terminology by Michael J. Losier, and adequately read by Hugh Gallagher, the Law of Attraction is easy to sum up: it's the power of positive thinking on steroids.

With a running time of two and a half hours, the two CD set is quickly digested during a handful of commutes. Interested listeners will have to replay the disc at home, however, because there are a number of written exercises provided to help bring the Law of Attraction front and center into your life.

The Law of Attraction is first introduced to the listener by way of comparative examples. While many will not buy into the notion that the Law of Attraction is as physically real as the Law of Gravity, there is something to be said for the invisible and mysterious forces that attract us to people, places and things in our lives. What matters most is that Losier believes strongly in the Law of Attraction. He's done the hard job of breaking it down into easily understood pieces. Then he tells us how to recognize it in our daily interactions, and more importantly how to take control and change our thoughts, words and actions to potentially attract exactly what we want in life.

Hugh Gallagher gets off to an uneven start reading the text, but then he falls into a steady rhythm, doing the best he can with the written words. Like many self-help books, Law of Attraction is occasionally redundantly redundant, repeating headings and titles and concepts, perhaps with the higher purpose of pounding the messages home. And long after listeners are finished with the book, they will still be actively trying their hand at manipulating the Law of Attraction.

Armchair Interviews says: A CD worth listening in your home or in your car.

5 stars A Catalyst for Positve Changes in Your Life

WOW!!! What a simple and yet extremely powerful self help book. Its emphasis that positive affirmations only work once you are in vibrational harmony with them is truley divine wisdom and the tools offered in this book to bring one in align with them are simple and easy to implement.

Since reading this book and participating in the writing excercises, its processes have helped me loose 85 lbs, release negative relationships, and receive decent raises in just one year where no raises were received in the prior five years.

I recommend this book to any one that is willing to participate in a little written work, daily affirmations and wants to evoke everlasting positive changes in their lives.

Thank you Michael!

I love this book! It is so simple and easy! It really helps put the Law of Attraction into action. I've kept it as a resource and have recommended it to several people that are still trying to figure out the Law of Attraction. You should definitely buy it today, especially if you're into actually "doing" something about law of attraction rather than just reading on it.

5 stars Good follow-up to The Secret!

2007-07-30     1 of 1 found this review helpful

This is the book that you'll want to read after watching or reading The Secret. The Secret is a great motivational tool....however; it was lacking some pertinent information. The Law of Attraction on the other hand provides all of the 'missing' information. The Law of Attraction gives you step-by-step instructions on how to use and apply the Law of Attraction. The steps (3 of them along with some additional exercises)were incredibly simple to imply and they were easy to remember so that you don't have to carry the book around with you. They also provided a website address so that you can read additional articles and print out the work-sheets.
Highly Recommended!

I had seen the movie "The Secret", and read the book of the same name by Rhonda Byrne, but did not truly understand what "The Secret" really meant until I read Michael Losier's book, "Law of Attraction:The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't".
Michael Losier teaches you how to take action re: "The Law of Attraction".
He has given the step by step process on activating the "Law of Attraction". How to retrain your thinking and speaking processes to eliminate the negatives we all tend to use and increase the positives that lead to success. This is a most beneficial book for anyone interested in improving their circumstances.

5 stars Simple, no frills method to put the Law of Attraction into action

2007-07-17     1 of 2 found this review helpful

Michel's book is compact and direct-to-action. There are no useless frills: Michel in fact shows you through his examples and exercises how to get more of what you want and less of what you do not want.

Compared to other authors focusing only on what people want and backed by his NLP background he understood that for people to gain the clarity of what they want they have to go through the process of understanding what is that they do not want.

The process is simple and easy to put into practice. The key here is to make a decision: that this is the first day of your new life and that you are going to attract to it what you want and deserve to enjoy.

I think good thoughts every day - i wake up in a shelter - no home no kids no job - no fancy clothes or designers rugs - and i put on a second hand suit and walk 20 blocks to an interview - i think good thougths and say prayyers for a job but then get told im not good enough to type a bunch of peoples names into a computer or to clean tolets at a fast food place or to file books at a library - becasue of mistakes i made when i was younger involving men and stealing an drugs and mail fraud. But i change and i think - Tonya today you are gonna get it all - today you are gonna be respected - but i never am - i guess some people just cant start over and whats the point - i'm already middleaged so why try - Paula says i should just give up - which isn't right for a sponser to say but may be true anyway - but this book says do this and all will be ok and if it is not it is ur fault - but that is just not true - i never wanted to be nothing - i never dreamed about being nothing - but i am - and now what do i do

I love this book, and The Secret, and Charles Haanel, whom I read each week and which a lot of these types of books are based on. But some of us still have to do some internal work before we can really make the deep changes to bring the law of attraction into effect - otherwise our subconscious can still be sabotaging what we think we are attracting. That's where Olga Sheean's book really scores. It's not just about love, but how to make the fundamental changes to your programming to make the law of attraction actually work.Fit for Love: Find Your Self and Your Perfect Mate

3 stars Good common sense

2007-05-13     1 of 2 found this review helpful

I got this book because I thought it held a lot of secrets about getting what you want. Instead it all boils down to thinking positive, using positive phrasing to talk what you want helps you obtain what you want. I think it's great that it changes ppl's thought process and even helps them write a complete list of what they want and realistically how they plan to get what they have but other than that the reading was very simple. I agree with his message but it was common sense.

This is truly an excellent book about a subject that is not so obvious to most people and have been tagged with other names than what it really just is...like luck, opportunity, etc and when you really understand the material you can create your own reality.

It is an easy book to follow and understand for me not just because I had just been listening to Esther & Jerry Hicks CDs on "Ask and It Is Given" Part I and Part II but because of the author's application of his training in NLM with the writing of this book.

I loved the book because of it's simplicity and ease in reading as well as comprehension and application. Michael Losier certainly knows how to teach the law of attraction. He refers to himself as the "how to" guy which he does very well. Just apply what Michael says and you will attract your wonderful life!

5 stars Will resonate with many people

2010-08-26     0 of 0 found this review helpful

Michael J. Losier's "LAW of ATTRACTION" has many things to commend it. It is based on centuries of human experience and when applied in the manner he clearly explains, it could work to improve any relationship, life, work, schooling, or anything that is presently negative in your life.

Michael is a super salesman and what he pitches will resonate with many people who need the belief that the Law of Attraction is the answer to all their problems. It is his constant positive message that is so convincing, comforting, and gives the listener the strength and courage to try his messages. It is true that you draw to yourself what you believe about yourself.

So, be careful about what you think, you feel, you believe, because it will determine your actions and the reactions of those you meet. I agree that honest self-knowledge, deciding what you want from life, clarifying that, and keeping a journal will all help improve your life.

My problem, and that's why people gravitate away from my messages, is that I want them to realize that certain people, events, and institutions have defined and shaped you. These become part of your neurology and do not disappear! They can be modified, but too often people listen to a CD, go to a conference, or watch a video and are temporarily excited and try it for a while. When they find it isn't as easy as it's been presented, (like dieting) they return to their previous predispositions. That`s why I don't pretend that if you merely follow my lead that your life will immediately and easily improve. Life is complicated; it takes constant effort to simplify it.

Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't
By Michael J. Losier ISBN 0-97322-400-2, Michael J. Losier, 2003

If you are ready for some "nuts and bolts" on how to change your life for the better, this book will address your first "attraction." It isn't a matter of "does the law of attraction work?" It's working all the time, but we attract the very things we don't want. It's truly a matter of having better information in easy-to-understand language with a format to help guide you step by step. If you have watched The Secret and were wondering what your next step might be, this is it.

3 stars Positive thinking to change your life

2010-05-08     0 of 0 found this review helpful

I have very mixed feelings about this book. On the one hand, let's think positively and get things done! On the other hand, how can that possibly work? Is it just an idea of if you have lower expectations and then you are happy because of it?

Michael Losier gives a few examples of it and how it works. It seems to be more of a case of que sera, sera. The woman who wants to find a satisfying love life lets go of all of her negative thoughts and it just happens. Things happen to fall into place. Those occurrences are what Losier points to as examples of the law of attraction.

Obviously like attracts like in physics. I'm not sure that it exactly corresponds in life like Losier says, but there can't be anything wrong with thinking positively. Whether or not thinking positively will actually change one's life is a different story altogether.

The book was a quick read, so on that front, it's most likely worth the time spent to read. Take the thoughts of positive thinking from the book and ignore the rest that you don't want.

Yes, my review here isn't for this book, but for the author and the techniques he teaches. I have read a lot of Mr. Losier's works about the law of attraction and his works detail a lot of work to make it work in your favor. He has you writing out whole lists of thing you want and don't want, these list called Clarity/Contrast lists. I frankly don't like having to write pages of lists just to make something work for me. My advice to all of you, avoid stuff by Michael Losier.

2009-06-25     0 of 0 found this review helpful

Micheal Losier's The Law of Attraction was the third book about The Law that I had read. It was well organized, explained the principle in easy to understand terms.

Within the book it offers ideas on how to reword your thoughts to keep them positive. It goes step by step through how to attract a mate and job opportunities.

There were a few points Losier made with little fact or basis backing up those points. As an example, he said everything is made of energy but does nothing explain that point of view or back it up.

Though the information was well formulated, some felt superficial and left me wanting more explanation. The points with little facts backing it up or the ability to test it made me leary of it's credibility.

Of all the books I've read on The Law of Attraction: Hicks, Losier, Grabhorn, I would recommend "The Secret of Life: Right Under Your Nose", by Meijer Bjorn. Though the information is basic, it's points are backed up, you can test the theories, and it defines other universal truths.

Losier's book is good, but it could be better.

5 stars The Title is Misleading to Many - Great Book about Success

2009-03-19     0 of 1 found this review helpful

This book's title would have many people thinking the book is about 'how you look' to others, but it is nothing about that. The Law of Attraction is about obtaining success in life via a set of tools that are specifically spelled out in the book. The author, Losier, uses the Socratic method of asking you questions in order to resolve the issues that might be blocking you from success. He refers to this as the "contrast" method of defining what you want. The book is well written, uses a step-by-step approach and for anyone who is not achieving the success they want, it is a tool to reprogram your mind into success. This is a great book to purchase a graduating student, so they have the tools before they set out in life.

This is very simple and easy to read book - which can be both good and bad.

To summarize in one sentence, this book teaches the readers how to think positively in life. We all know the importance of positive thinking - nothing new here.

As some of other reviewers mentioned, this book is a great introduction for someone who have never had an exposure to NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).

It will be somewhat disappointing for readers with prior exposure to NLP because the book is very basic and lacks details.

I'd say he's a winner with some practical ideas in this book. While none of these ideas are ground-breaking and if you read self-help books like I have you've heard them all before. What makes him a winner is his ability to offer a step-by-step approach to the "Law of Attraction."

I recommend this book with " Nexus: A Neo Novel " a book you've got to read and if you want some inspiring material on Law of Attraction, try "The Secret."

2008-08-09     0 of 0 found this review helpful

Losier has written one of the most practical books on "Law of Attraction" I have yet read. He describes the Law as "I attract to my life whatever I give attention, energy and focus to, whether positive or negative."

Your vibrations are matched by the universe which gives you more of the same, whether it's positive or negative. Most of us are not even consciously aware of the vibrations we are sending out but through awareness we can change our vibrational frequency. Some of the important teachings in this book include:

-Subconscious mind filters out don't, not and no. So instead state what it is that you do want
-Your feelings tell you if your vibration is positive or negative
-The three-step formula for deliberate attraction includes:
1. Identify your desire
2.Give your desire attention
3. Allow it
-How to reword affirmations to make them more powerful for you

Unlike some other books that delve into metaphysical explanations, Losier stays focused on practical examples. I read this book with "Nexus: A Neo Novel" and the two books are more powerful together.

NEXUS is the story of people overcoming negative vibration at a spiritual retreat through a process of social interaction, guidance and transformative experiences.

Right now "Nexus: A Neo Novel" is available with Losier at a unbeatable price.

4 stars Excellent. Simple to use.

Ten years ago I was introduced to Abraham and their teachings in great detail. So, I went into reading this book with a lot of familiarity with the teachings that it describes. Still, I wanted something that would give me a quick refresher and would give me tools to get myself on a more positive train of thought. This book does that. You literally can read it in one day...though I think I took two. Then I sat down and did the written exercises and I felt a whole lot better...like a new person. Unfortunately, the challenge I am dealing with is one that takes time to resolve. I wish the book offered more tools for re-energizing the work that I did initially. I do keep reading my Desire Statement over and over. But just doing that doesn't have the same magic as when you first work through the exercises. Still and all, I think this is a terrific book! Really easy to read and to the point.

By far the best , easiest, detailed book ever !!!!!!
Do yourself a favor and read this one!
It has changed my way thinking, I no more say can't, don't , not..

2 stars Plagiarized material

The authors and/or publishers of this book didn't even bother to change the title from its original authors, Jerry & Esther Hicks. I don't understand how someone spouting spiritual teachings could be okay with stealing material. They would do well to also study the law of Karma, for even if they don't it will find them.

This book includes worksheets, that if followed will help you get better results than other books. This book advocates taking action, which is key to getting results, and not just wishful thinking as found in other books like 'The Secret'. Information presented is nothing new, but is done in a helpful way.

This is a great book. It's all about having positive thoughts and thinking about all the things that you do want in your life.

4 stars Great to have on Audio

2007-12-28     0 of 0 found this review helpful

The written book was wonderful, so I ordered the Audio CD to listen in the car and reinforce what I learned in the book. It's great to be able to listen in the car, but I do wish that the author had narrated on the audio. The narrator is fine, but I think the reading style, emphasis and energy would have been better if the author were the one reading the book. I would also have preferred if it had tracks that match the chapter numbers or something, so that skipping to what you want would be easier. Still, it's really great to have and if you like the book then you should definitely consider the Audio CD as well, especially for reinforcement. Just having it to listen to helps to remind me of important points.

3 stars A Good Basic Primer on the Law of Attraction

2007-11-15     0 of 3 found this review helpful

I first learned about this book many years ago and even had the pleasure to train with Michael Loiser as a Law of Attraction coach. I even helped promote his book through my website. The book is easy to read, full of illustrations, and gives you practical and easy techniques to follow. I call it basic, however, because there is FAR more to the Law of Attraction than Michael's book shares, though I deeply respect him. Maybe that is why I wrote my own book this year, building on what Michael taught me, but taking it much, much further based on my own understanding of using the Law of Attraction for twenty-five years. - Dr. Lisa Love, Beyond the Secret

4 stars Great book for those new to LOA

2007-10-29     0 of 0 found this review helpful

This is a fine book for anyone new to learning about the Law of Attraction.
It lays out the basics with the author's 3 step plan to first discover what you don't desire as a tool to find out what it is you truly want to create in your life. All the basics are there. The author also explains the pitfalls of the use of Affirmations and why for many they fail to yield the desired outcome. There are certainly books out there that go into magnetizing our desires more comprehensively but as I said if you're new to this this material I would recommend this book as a starting guide.

5 stars Awesome book!

4 stars Clear and dynamic

THE LAW OF ATTRACTION by Michael Losier shows how to use the law of attraction and how to establish a firm foundation in creating change in our life. He adds that most people are good at declaring what they don't want but have difficulty saying what they want. So Losier breaks down the process of change into three easy steps as follow: Step One: Write down every thing that you don't want, such as, 'Not buying things because I can't afford them', 'Upset customers or co-workers' and whatever else you don't want. Step Two: Write down everything you do want. Your first list can be helpful with this stage. So for me this included 'Money to buy what I want', 'Friendly customers and co-workers' and more. Step Three: Allow your want and this includes eliminating all doubts from your thinking that could block your goals. Michael empowers you to change your life through an easy approach and offers clear explaination on how to achieve your desires. This book is an easy read with clear guidelines. Michael Losier is an N.L.P. Practitioner and Coach on Law of Attraction from Victoria, Canada. He gives in-person Law of Attraction seminars in Victoria and teleseminars to wider audiences, so he knows what he's talking about. I believe positive thinking approach offered in this book and other similar books is helpful to assist individuals overcome hopelessness. I would only caution that instead of blame, a reader trying this approach have an open attitude - kind of like seeing where this will take you. Many laws operate in life besides the law of attraction, so being hard on yourself is counterproductive. Yet it is important for us to try to create positive change in our life with an affirming mental attitude.
I also recommend the book Understanding: Train of Thought.

5 stars Fascinating!

2007-08-10     0 of 0 found this review helpful

I found The Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and less of What You Don't, by Michael J. Losier to be an absolutely fascinating book! I especially like the step-by-step process that is provided for the reader, a process that is easy to understand, clear and inspirational. Also, what is a very important aspect of the book is that it helps the reader to determine what it is that you really want and then what you must do to manifest this in your life. All in all very practical, and highly recommended!

Some further reading that is complimentary to The Law of Attraction is:

3 stars Okay

Basically, this is a book on positive thinking. I find it hard to believe in the so-called "Law of Attraction". Saying that victims of drunk driving "asked for" such negative forces is unthinkable. The intro, the Science of the LoA, have rather weak arguments and rather use fallacious reasoning to persuade the reader.

To summ up this book in two words: THINK POSITIVE.

5 stars Law of Attraction

2007-08-09     0 of 0 found this review helpful

Michael Losier's Law of Attraction is one of the best books out on attracting what you want. The books is concise with a three step, no nonsense approach.
There are two audio CD's available. One done by Michael. This one is excellent. The second one is read by Hugh Gallagher. The reader's voice is a monotone, and if I hadn't heard Michael's reading, I probably would not have listened to the entire Gallagher CD.

5 stars A powerful formula for achievement.

What drives the forces of serendipity and attraction? LAW OF ATTRACTION: THE SCIENCE OF ATTRACTING MORE OF WHAT YOU WANT AND LESS OF WHAT YOU DON'T reveals a three-step program to increasing positive change, blending exercises, tools and scripts with a wide-ranging survey for attracting the best of 'luck' in everything from relationships to jobs. From using worksheets to clarify wants, needs, and desired changes to analyzing the elements of others' success and coveted earnings in life, LAW OF ATTRACTION provides a powerful formula for achievement. Public libraries will find the idea appealing and the concept straightforward, though the worksheets included here might make it a more appropriate pick for book buyers who can then feel free to write in the spaces provided for self-analysis.
