Excellent cookbook, but deceptively titledFirst, I do enjoy this cookbook. Everything I have made from it has been wonderful, and if you like the recipes in "Simply the Best: 250 Prizewinning Family Recipes" then I think you will like the recipes in this book. They are slightly more gourmet and less homey than the recipes in "Simply the Best," so if "Simply the Best" was pushing the edge of the exotic envelope for you, then you might prefer a different WW cookbook than this one for your next purchase.
The book is organized into three color-coded sections (15 minute, 20 minute, and 30 minutes) and each section is organized into breakfast, lunch, and dinner recipes. Many of the lunch recipes would also work well for dinner or as part of dinner. This is the sort of cookbook that you will enjoy sitting down with and sticking post-it notes to promising recipes.
However, I give this book 4 stars instead of 5 because the preparation times for the recipes are frequently deceptive. They are not the times for fixing these recipes from start to finish, they assume that you have already performed your preps. So, a 30 minute recipe might not include the time for pulling all of the ingredients out of the pantry and refrigerator, and tasks such as slicing raw chicken breasts or steak into strips, chopping onions, mincing garlic, chopping parsley, or peeling, deseeding, and slicing cucumbers. The cookbook "Desperation Dinners" by Beverly Mills and Alicia Ross (not a lowfat cookbook), for example, is truly a 20 minute start-to-finish recipe cookbook; this one is not, although in most cases the actual time will not be too much more than the stated time. One exception is the Apricot Glazed Pork Skewers with Mango Quinoa, which is supposed to be ready in 30 minutes. Even if your preps are all ready ahead of time I think you'd be hard-pressed to prepare this dish in under 45 minutes. The 30 minutes includes thinly slicing 1-1/2 pounds of pork tenderloin and threading it onto 12 skewers, which alone took me a good 15 minutes.
One thing I like about this cookbook is that it finally got me to try cooking with Fat-Free Half-and-Half, and I have been very pleased with the recipes that use this, such as a Creamy Cauliflower Soup (saute leeks in a little olive oil, add frozen cauliflower and canned chicken broth, simmer, puree, then finish with FF Half-and-Half, nutmeg, and S&P). My favorites recipes in this book, so far, are the Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Greek Chicken Pasta Toss, Chicken with Spicy Marmalade Glaze, Chicken Tacos with Salsa Verde Cream, and Sesame Glazed Shrimp with Snow Peas and Baby Corn.
Real World Cooking!I love cookbooks, and read them like novels. (After all, if you're always dieting, curling up with good cookbook gives some of the pleasure of eating a good meal, but with no calories!)
I have several hundred cookbooks, but how many do I really use when I cook? Well, this one, definitely. If you are looking for simple, quick, low fat recipes, I can't recommend this book too highly. When I'm stuck for a quick dinner, this cookbook is where I look first. The recipes are very quick and they mostly use common ingredients you can quickly pick up at the grocery store or might have on your pantry shelves already.
By the way, in addition to listing nutrtional info for each recipe, each recipe also gives Weight Watchers points (if you are a Weight Watcher, you know what I mean), and diabetic exchanges. So, I think this would also be a great cookbook for diabetics as well as those of us who are trying to lose weight.
a little too gourmet for meTrue to its title, this Weight Watchers cookbooks has easy recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was happy about the inclusion of multiple meals. I also liked the listing of point values.
My only problem with the book were the fancy foods. I'm not an amazing cook. When I hear "make it in minutes", I'm hoping for something like my Betty Crocker "Easy" recipes, where I can use pre-bought ingredients and throw it together. I also want to see familiar recipes. There are a lot of different and unique recipes here, and I'm sure that most people would enjoy them. However, I was looking for a basic cookbook that would allow me to make simple meals with ingredients I am familiar with. I'm sure this book will be great for experimenting and trying new foods, only that's not what I expected.
Simple, Convenient, & ElegantAs a recent member of weight watchers, and a long-time cooking fanatic, I find that this book satisfies not only both sides [the healthy and the adventurous] but also saves time. The book's design is all about speed and convenience. the recipes are easy to read and follow, and each section is neatly organized to help you find the recipe you want quickly. Although each recipe does not have its own photo, there are many, many sumptuous photos throughout the book that represent the global culture [from Mexico to Italy to Thailand]. Other nice features include the points and nutritional breakdown on the bottom of every page, serving suggestions, and plenty of white space on every page so you can add your own notes or personal flair. It is definitely the type of book that will easily become a cooking reference for anyone who wants to eat healthy with precious time to spend.
Make It in Minutes: Easy Recipes in 15,20,and 30 MinutesThis is the first Weight Watchers cookbook in which I've been disappointed. The first recipe we made had several inaccuracies including, The fat count, the calorie count, the point count. In addition the recipe was too dry and the product if made according to directions, and we did that, was not edible. I think that for the first time Weight Watchers trusted someone else with the responsibility for accuracy in one of their books and their trust was misplaced. I was further disappointed when I discussed the problem with the leaders where I bought the book and they were totally unconcerned and held Weight Watchers blameless in the book's errors. I expected the organization to accept responsibility for publications which are published in their name and sold in their establishments.
Not Just for WW members!I bought this book because I am on Weight Watchers. I have other cookbooks of theirs but I needed something that made dinner quickly. It had to be able to satisfy the finicky eaters. I have two of them! I needed it to be a little more filling for my dear husband. I wanted to add some interesting recipes. Well, this book is the answer.
The sections of the book are divided into 15, 20, & 30. How wild is that? In front of these sections, it gives an index of what meals are in there. You can plan your menu out just by figuring out how much time you want to spend cooking. There are some meals that need more time. SORRY! My favorite part is that on the side of every recipe there is a list of ingredients so, you can just check what you have in the house. You can have an easier time shopping for the stuff too. There is nothing exotic in this book. This thrills me to death! I have timed some of the meals and they are pretty close. One small nitpicky thing is that there are just a few pictures. You do not see those mouthwatering pictures that draw you to the stove. The book is not glossy so, there is no resistance to damage. Another item that bothers me is that it is not organized into categories of food types such as: poultry, vegetarian, meat, etc. Itis organized by time and the food is just slopped into the section.
It has the points that you use for Weight Watchers. However, for those that are not on WW, it makes life easier by cooking less, using eye appealing recipes, and containing the nutritional info. It can help people that are just trying to eat healthier.
This is one of my two favorite Weight Watchers' books. You must buy this book. The positives definitely out weigh the negatives! Happy Eating!
Another excellent cookbook from weight watchersExcellent set up of the cookbook. Recipes are set up not only as breakfast, lunch, dinner but as 15 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minute recipes. The recipes are easy to *read*, everything is set up very clearly and simply. Points are included as are calories, fat, carbs...and other nutritional info, so you could use this recipe on other diets as well. Particularly helpful for low fat, low cal, and diabetic diets (altho ww generally uses sugar as a sweetener, this could be adjusted)
The recipes are excellent with easy to find ingredients. Some of the ethnic recipes might require things not normally in a pantry but arent items that are so way out you would never use them again. There are many full color pictures of finished dishes which i like very much. (I do wish the paper was glossier as it cleans up easier)
This cookbook has followed the other ones i have had in the respect that the recipes *work*. I have made many recipes from ww cookbooks for company without trying them ahead of time, with no problem. Also included are *what to serve with it* suggestions.
You might find for your *non-dieters* that the portions are a bit small...or a lot small. Just keep that in mind when looking over the recipes... The recipes would be great for dieters and non dieters alike
Love This Cookbook!!Make It In Minutes is a wonderful cookbook for those of us who don't have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen! Even if you do not follow the Weight Watchers meal point plan, you will find the recipes easy to follow and very healthful. The book is organized into 15,20 and 30 minute sections with easy to follow instructions and full nutritional content for each recipe. My favorites so far are the Oriental Pepper Steak, Sweet and Sour Shrimp, Honey Pecan Chicken (super fast and EASY!!) and the Greek Chicken Pasta Toss. Even my picky eater 6 year old loves it! I highly recommend this book!!
I love this cook book!I have four weightwatchers cookbooks and this is by far my favorite and the most used. I think I make at least 3 to 4 meals from this book a week.
All the other cookbooks ask for items that I have never heard of and I was looking for something that was simple. This book works for my busy life style and also has great flavors.
The great thing is, my family has enjoyed ever item I have made from this book too! So that should count for something. That includes my teenaged daughter.
Enjoy.
These tasty recipes are fit for a queenWhen I signed up for the Weight Watchers Online program three months ago, I was cautiously optimistic. I feared that I would have to live on small portions and boring, bland foods for the rest of my life. I knew from the beginning that I would need variety in my diet to keep me motivated, so I went to the bookstore and flipped through the various Weight Watchers cookbooks. I was looking for a book that was affordable, offered a number of easy-to-intermediate recipes, and featured recipes that were flavorful, yet mostly used ingredients that I could find at my local grocery store or farmer's market.
This book really fit the bill. These recipes use a few carefully chosen ingredients to pack a lot of flavor into every meal. Also, surprisingly enough, the servings were large enough that I was able to eat until I was full every time I used this cookbook. As a Points counter, I found that there were plenty of recipes to choose from with a nice variety of Points values. This book may not work as well for Core members, because a lot of the recipes incorporate pasta. The Peachy Pork Chops were a surprise favorite, and the Tortellini with Prociutto and Peas has become one of my favorite meals ever, light fare or otherwise.
When I cook using this cookbook, I forget that I am on a diet and instead get a great feeling of satisfaction, because I am expanding my cooking repertoire and at the same time trying new herbs and flavors every night. This book is highly recommended to anyone who wants to diet without dying of boredom, or for anyone who wants a simple and tasty treat for dinner tonight.
This Book is also 'Simply the Best'!I really liked this cookbook, because the recipes are quick, easy to follow and good! My family likes it and I don't feel like I am making food just for me. My 3 year old really like the Southwestern Skillet Macaroni and Cheese and always requests seconds! The recipes really take 15, 20 and 30 minutes to prepare. I am still losing and LOVE to cook everynight now that Weight Watchers has made it so easy. If you aren't on the WW program you will still love this cookbook, and if you are, then it will help you achieve your goal with a lot more fun.
Fantastic cookbook!I've never cooked in my life (a bachelor). Much to the surprise of recent guests, I prepared several meals from "Make it in Minutes." Not only were my family and friends shocked that I could cook at all, they were even more surprised that these outstanding and tasty recipes were from a Weight Watchers cookbook! This book has made a cook out of someone who couldn't even boil water in the past. MY ETERNAL THANKS TO WEIGHT WATCHERS! Now I can have people for dinner without ordering out, and I have the confidence to try other cookbooks! AND: it's healthy too. What more could you ask for? By the way, I don't have a weight problem (180, 6 foot), I tried this book on the recommendation of someone who was on the program, and because the dishes tasted fantastic and were easy to make...
the BEST 'diet' cookbook you'll ever find!!!If you are hunting for a cookbook with healthier recipes, this is the one you need!!! The recipes are categorized into breakfast, lunch and dinner and narrowed again into time elements, 15, 20, 30 minutes to prepare. I've made many of the recipes in this cookbook and each has been wonderful. The BEST weight watcher cookbook I've ever tried; I'm not on weight watchers but we try and eat healthy meals and this cookbook is a mainstay.
Who eats this stuff?Very disappointed in this cookbook. I was looking for some simple meal solutions that were healthy for my family but we're just not a "chutney" or "ragout" kind of group.
Hope I can unload this on someone.
WW Make it in MinutesI have most of the Weight Watcher's cookbooks and this is by far my favorite. I love the fact that the recipes are quick, easy and very tasty. My favorites are Steak with Spicy Chili Sauce, Pan Seared Salmon with Fresh Tomato-Basil Relish and the Wild Mushroom Risotto. I use the Tomato-Basil relish with other types of fish as well. The fact that the points are included is the icing on the cake! Enjoy!
great book!this is a great weight watchers cookbook using POINTS. i have been a weight watcher for many years and this book makes it easy. i love the dinner suggestions they give (although they don't give recipes for the suggestions). if you are into breakfasts and lunches (which i am not) there are considerable recommendations here as well. my husband loves what comes out of this cookbook.
No better cookbook anywhereI purchased this as one of my first WW cookbooks and I have gone back to this time and again. The speed in which you can prepare these meals is a Godsend in this busy day in age. I work and go to school . With 5 other mouths to feed when I get home, this was just the ticket and if you are having a hard time getting the rest of the family to eat healthy try one of these. It worked for me. The Chicken Marsala really won them over and the glazed chicken breast is still a frequent request. The pictures are gorgeous. i love it...
Weight Watchers Does it Again!Weight Watchers never disappoints me. They have packed together a wonderful cookbook filled with great recipes. This book is colorful and has many pictures so you know what you are getting. I love this book as sometimes I get a little tired with my current menu of WW recipes. The recipes I tried were very tasty and quick and easy to make.
Delicious!I have had this cookbook for a couple of months and have made quite a few of the recipes. Almost every single one has been excellent. I really like the fact that they even list suggested side dishes for each entree. One kind of odd thing is that some of the dishes are kind of high on the point scale...up to 10 points per serving. I personally can't usually afford to spend 10 points on one thing like that. But most of the recipes are in a reasonable point range, and they taste great. I highly recommend this cookbook.
A disappointmentThe pictures of the book were attractive. However,as someone who has little patience in the kitchen, I found very few easy, quick recipes. Also, there were not enough "no-meat" recipes.
Nice but not GreatI tried a few of the recipes in this book. The ones I tried were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, too many of the recipes call for pre-packaged ingredients, which is great if you happen to have them on hand, not if you don't. The three-cheese pizza calls for a 10-inch prebaked pizza crust. The pork medallions with ginger pears and chutney calls for 1/4 cup of mango chutney. The salad bar nicoise calls for 4 cups of "salad bar vegetables." Now, c'mon! All the beans called for are canned, a lot of the vegetables are canned or frozen.
I was looking for a recipe book to tell me a quick way to throw what I already own into a tasty meal. Many of these canned, frozen, premixed or prebaked ingredients are not what I have lying around in my house and I don't really want to have to plan so far ahead that I buy the right ingredients to make these "quick" meals.
The food you make from this book is very tasty and delicious. However, I find that to be true of most of the WW cookbooks and I think there are better choices.
MUST HAVE!I ordered this book because I was having a hard time staying on the Weight Watchers Plan. I found my food choices limited which resulted in reduncy in what I ate. When I received this book it took me almost THREE hours to devise my menu plan for a week because all of the recipies in this book were so amazing! I didn't know what to choose! There are many ideas that could be put together in whatever time frame you choose. I am really, really, happy with this book, I am impressed. For those not following Weight Watchers this is still a great book with a great variety of recipies that are healthy and low in fat. I would say the only drawback is that it is not spiral bound, it's softcover.
Weight Watchers the Complete CookbookI love this book. I have made a recipe every night from it. It is great. Only found one recipe so far that I didn't care for.
The only complaint I have is it doesn't give you a break down of exactly how much 1 serving of a recipe is (such as 1 cup, 4 oz etc.)
This is a great cookbook.I've tried many of the weight watcher cookbooks and this one is terrific. Every dish I've made so far is quick, tasty and healthy. A winner all around.
The Best Cookbook EverI have made more recipes from this book than from any cookbook I have ever owned. Every recipe is quick, easy, and absolutely delicious. Being a lifetime Weight Watcher member, I love knowing the points value of each dish and knowing that what I cook is healthy and nutritious. Despite all the good things about each dish, i.e. quick, easy, healthy and light, it is still scrumptious.
Exercise bookarugula leaves,
Asian dark sesame oil, vegetable oil, olive oil, canola oil.
pierogies
kalamata or 6 nicoise olives
marsal wine, white wine, red wine vinegar, dry sherry, don't forget the balsmic vinegar
pickled ginger
Most of the items are used once.
There are so many (not usually on your shelf) ingredients, that you will be going to the grocery store alot!! Bonus points for exercise.
Great new ideasI'm not on the weight watchers plan but I bought this book because i wanted to prepare food fast& to get some new ideas. I tried a few recipes & already this book is my favourite. I love the meal suggestions they have. My husband & 2 year old love the food too. I've made a few changes to suite us like if i have'nt got a certain type of cheese i'll use what i have, etc..I'm glad i'm making my family healthy meals. try it.
A Great Book for Low Fat, Low Calorie Cooking EasilyLow fat cooking often takes a great deal of time because of all the preparaiton work with fresh fruits and vegetables that are required, but this book combines healthy eating and easy preparation. I use it every week. There are a few things I have not liked, but for the most part the receipes are excellent. I love the black bean soup, the turkey cutlets with cranberry pear chutney, the tortalini, and many, many others. If you are concerned about what you eat, like to eat well, and have a busy life then this fits the bill. I must say, I did not like the cauliflower soup.
Pleasantly surprisedAs someone who doesn't like to spend hours in the kitchen...and who is also a new Weight Watchers member...I can say that this is of great benefit to me. The recipes that I've tried have been quick and non-complicated with good flavor. The ingredients are all easily obtained at your local stores...no hunting for "exotic" spices or anything. I'm glad I got it.
Excellent compliment to any kitchenI love the recipes in this book. I have made so many of them and there is not one that my family and I did not like. They are simple and as quick as the book says they will be. I feel great about preparing a healthful meal for my family that is just as tasty and it is healthy. I highly recommend this cook book!
fabulousQuick, yummy and tasty. I'm not following the WW program, but this cookbook is great. It's well-organized, and every recipe is very accessible. Lots of ethnic-inspired dishes, lots of soups and sandwiches, and some really nice recipes you can make for company.
Superb for busy cooks! This is just the greatest cookbook I have ever used. I am super busy -- fulltime job, mom, volunteer work, etc., etc. I love to cook and I love good food and I love the WW Points program. This book was made for me -- the organization is outstanding. Everything is grouped by time to prepare (15, 20, or 30 minutes), then within each time grouping, the recipes are further grouped by meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
Every recipe that we have tried has been outstanding and -- with only one exception -- very easy to do! We take the book with us in the car in the morning when we commute to school & work and choose our recipe for dinner that night - great fun! Even if you're not on WW, you'll love these recipes -- superb food that's healthy, delicious, and fast!
Very, very quickA collection of Weight Watchers low point recipes that are creative and very, very quick to prepare.
WW In MinutesI love this cookbook! It couldn't be more simple and all of the recipes are delicious. This is actually the second time that I have bought the book. I loaned the first one to someone and they kept it!
I have also given this book as gifts to fellow WW followers. It is also terrific for non WW people. My husband and 3 year old both love the recipes.
I highly recommend!
Yummy - and easy! This is a great cookbook! All the recipes we have tried have been delicious. They are also slightly unusual - none of the standard, boring "diet" dishes which discourage people from the very idea of "going on a diet". (Not that you'll feel as though you're dieting when you try these dishes.) As the title implies, the recipes in "Make it in Minutes" can also be whipped up very quickly. The menu suggestions are also helpful. Highly recommended!
Easy Recipes and Great MealsI have made more than 30 of the recipes in this book and have found many great and easy recipes. These are easy and healthy - but not boring meals. The organization of the book is a bit odd - recipes are sorted by time required to make the meal and then by breakfast, lunch and dinner. This book is well worth the price and is currently one of my favorite cookbooks. None of these recipes take long to make.
I made turkey cutlets with cranberry pear cutney for dinner tonight. It was easy and a big hit...and healthy. Well worth the price.
Yum, yum, yum!I am always looking for recipes for cooking healthy meals. I started scanning through the pages of this Weight Watchers cookbook at a local family-owned bookstore while my daughter participated in storytime. I felt an obligation to buy something because the owners of the store were so nice to the kids. I decided to give the cookbook a try... I am so glad I did! The meals are so wonderful! They are quick and easy to prepare and EXTREMELY tasty. I highly recommend this book.
This is cookbook versatility at its best!I disagree with those reviewers who claim that the recipes in this book take longer than 15, 20 or 30 minutes to prepare. I have made the Seared Lamb in Garlic Sauce and it took less than a 1/2 hour from start to finish. I also made the Osso Bucco chicken, which is one of the most innovative and delicious WW recipes ever!
These recipes are all tasty and very quick to put together. Many of them are also suitable for entertaining. So don't hesitate to order this book. It has been a lifesaver for me. Since joining WW in January, 2007 I have lost 60 lbs in 12 weeks! My success is due largely in part to my WW cookbook collection including Make It In Minutes!
Best Diet Cook Book I Ever BoughtI love this cook book. The recipes are delicious and easy to follow. Some of the recipes don't seem like they can be as few points as they claim because they are too good. I would buy this book again. It's great for counting points if you are doing Weight Watchers but the recipes are good even if you aren't.
Cooking Fast Is too ComplicatedThis little book contains some recipes that produce delicious dishes, but by the time I buy the ingredients that go into them, I haven't saved much time. The major problem with the book is its organization. It's difficult to find recipes by category. A second problem is that some of the recipes do take more time to cook than the book's title suggests.
It's a good back-up, but it will not be my main cookbook.
InnovativeVery good cookbook. The recipes are very creative. There is a good variety to include vegetarian, beef, chicken, seafood, etc. so you can find something you will like.
Fantastic! This cookbook has many delicious recipes that my husband (who doesn't diet) and myself both enjoy. I don't even think he knows I'm making healthy food. Very good and easy to follow recipes - even for someone new to cooking like myself. The Polynesian Pineapple Chicken is fantastic. I've bookmarked at least 30 recipes in this book that I can't wait to try! I've made two so far, both were great and easy to make. As a newlywed still learning to cook, I appreciate the simplicity of the recipes, which don't taste "simple" or "boring" when finished!
Great Cookbook!!This is fast becoming one of my favorites. It is divided up into easy 15, 20, and 30 minute sections, and has a wide variety of different foods. I am not excellent cook, but with this cookbook my husband is starting to think that I have turned into one.
Everything that I have made so far has turned out great. The recipes are quick and easy to follow. I would highly recommend this cookbook to anyone who wants good food but does not like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. They really are 15, 20, or 30 minute meals.
My Favourite Low Fat CookbookI love this cookbook! I use it at least once a week and find that the recipes are easy to follow and easy to modify to the core plan. The only problem is that the recipes are not spicy enough for my tastes so I simply double the recommended spice amount. Naother bonus is that all of the ingredients are things readily found in my kitchen or easuly found in a supermarket.
Eat well, quickeating fast usually means fast food. Which I do not have the easiest time handling, besides, YUCK! This book will help you be able to gethome from work after a long day and have something tasty, healthy and more important, fast. Then force the kids to do homework, oh well, hapinessis short lived. Enjoy and be healthy.
Quick and EasyThese are great recipes that don't require lots of thinking (after a hard day at work). Some old standards, some new ideas.
Great bookAs a recent weight watcher member, I was pleased to find some really terrific recipes in this book none of which are overly difficult or complicated.
Has Become My Favote Cookbook -I love this cookbook which I've had about five months. Though I am fortunate and don't have a problem with weight, my criteria for a good meal is that it be healthy and quick & easy to prepare with ingredients that I have on hand or are easy to find in a typical grocery store. Not only does this book deliver on all these points, but the dishes are more gourmet style and the serving suggestions are great and make the meals even more enjoyable. I couldn't ask for more in a cookbook. Thanks Weight Watchers
Some excellent recipes, others not-so-hotI have made 6 recipes from this book so far. Two were absolutely delicious (and easy) and will be staples in my repertoire for years to come (Tofu Teriyaki and Pierogies with Creamy Mushroom and Sherry Sauce). Two were okay, but not great (Chicken Marsala and Soba Noodles in Ginger Broth)--when I make them again, I'll tweak the ingredients a little. Two were pretty bad (Honey Pecan Chicken and Eggplant and Tofu with Garlic Sauce).
I rate this book 4 stars because I give it the benefit of the doubt. Many of the recipes seem appetizing and I am hoping the two duds were exceptions. Also, the two recipes that were good were REALLY good so they made up for the price of the book, even with the dud recipes. I think this is a worthy purchase if you're a busy person and need quick meals for weekday evenings, but just be aware that there are some bad recipes in here.
Fast, Easy, Healthy and Delicious! This is the absolute best cookbook I have ever purchased. Not only am I preparing healthy meals, but I am also preparing them faster and easier. The recipes are simple and each section (15, 20, and 30 minutes) is full of delicious recipes that are perfect no matter what the meal. My favorite is the maple-glazed chicken and because it is so simple, I can have it ready for dinner any night of the week! I honestly can not believe that anyone would be disappointed with this cookbook.
This is a great CookbookI bought this cookbook on the recommendation of a fellow Weight Watchers Member. I am so glad I did. The receipes are simple and fast and taste fantastic!!!
I have tried several recipes since it arrived and they were all great! But the Peachy Pork Chops are wonderful, fast and very easy. The sauce would be great on chicken and turkey too. I cannot wait to try more recipes this coming week. Even if you are not a Weight Watchers member I would recommend this book. Tasty low fat meals that dont taste low fat!
Wonderful!Every recipe I've made out of this book has been wonderful, even my husband (who does not have a weight problem, in fact he needs to gain weight) loves the recipes. I saw the complaint about supposedly "exotic" ingredients, everything is available at today's grocery stores and *olive oil* especially is something that every dieter *should* have on their shelves. Yes, the book does rely on fresh ingredients, but many of them are cheaper and far healthier than using prepared foods. Many fast to prepare low fat meals are let's face it *boring* and bland. These recipes are simple to prepare ways to make weight loss anything but boring.
Easy, quick and deliciousThis is one of the best cookbooks I own. Each recipe has Weight Watchers points per serving. Takes the guess work out of eating and meal planning. I've tried many of the recipes and every one of them was delicious! Even my non WW family loved the food. I'd recommend this book to anyone.
By far my favOf all WW cookbooks I own, this is my favorite. My fav recipe is the Smoky Black Bean soup...great for lunches!
No comfort food recipesI was very disappointed that this cookbook didn't have more comfort food recipes. It used ingredients that you wouldn't normally have on hand. I was looking for recipes for meatloaf, mac & cheese. I won't buy another cookbook that I can't review first.
Great & easy recipes!I have several other "30 minutes or less" cookbooks, which still take much longer for me than 30 minutes -- but this cookbook truly is easy and has great tasting recipes! They do not taste like "diet" type of meals, as I am not on the WW plan right now. Even my husband likes these meals -- very delicious!
Weight Watchers Make It in Minutes: Easy Recipes in 15, 20, and 30 Minutes Its a great book with a lot of good meal ideas.I love it. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to eat healthy and lose some weight along the way.
Lots of recipes!I've only made one meal so far from this cookbook and it was pretty good! There are a lot of recipes but not much for breakfast items.
This Is One Book You Really Need!!!!I can tell you from my experience in buying this particular WW book that the recipe's are fantastic and all stay true to the timing of the recipe's! Even the 10 minute meals are GREAT!! My hubby was skeptical about eating the 30 minute meals and he absolutely loves them and NOW HE is making them! He's really the better chef in this house since he retired and he absolutely loves this cook book! You WILL lose weight with this book if you follow the instructions and get the right ingredients-don't worry!! And you'll NOT BE SORRY you got this book-that's for sure. I had a hard time choosing which one to start with and I'm so happy I chose THIS ONE b/c of it having 10, 20 and 30 minute recipe's.
Also don't forget to buy yourself a WW calculator-it's an tool that is very valuable for days when you're on the go and don't have time to cook anything in this book! You can get them on Ebay for $20 if you look around and not have to pay tax OR shipping. I got mine from some place called something like: Treetop Collectables or something close to that. I just know it is GREAT and a HUGE HUGE HELP as this book I got at Amazon. Also, I was shocked to buy this book from Amazon and get it TWO DAYS LATER!!! I didn't pay extra for fast shipping either-got the free shipping and presto-I had the book so fast I was shocked!! Folks, we live out in the boonies and they STILL got me this book so quickly after I ordered it-it was unreal!!
You won't regret buying this book-trust me!! It is GREAT!!!!!!!!

Yeah for fast mealsI am a busy mom with not a whole lot of extra time to be goofing around in the kitchen. PLus I am tired! I can have a healthy dinner for my family quickly! LOVE IT!!
Not so greatThis book is filled with fast ideas, but most are not practical or appealing. I am disappointed and will probably not use the book all that much. The recipes are not generally husband or kid friendly as far as likeablility goes.
ExcellentI found this cookbook had very good recipes that were easy to fix in a short time. It helped me to stay on Weight Watchers and lose weight.
WEight Watchers Make It in Minutes: Easy Recipes in 15,20, and 30 MinutesBeautiful-looking cookbook, but recipes are made mostly with unusual things that I never have on hand. I was disappointed.
LOVE THIS COOKBOOKAs a huge cookbook collector and fan of healthy eating, this cookbook tops my favorites. I have cooked numerous recipes fromt his bok and enjoyed them all. Well-organized and tasty food!!!
A Must-have for the Dieter who doesn't Want To Feel Like She's on a Diet!Once again the geniuses at Weight Watchers have come out with a recipe collection of delicious, easy-to-make and interesting recipes for the weight-conscious. As a Lifetime Member of Weight Watchers, I have followed their diets in one form or another since the horrible '70's when we had to have 5 fish, 3 beef and 1 liver meal each week, plus only 1 TBLS of fat a day. Now the diet is like no other in it's flexibility and convenience. These recipes are trendy without being outlandish and the ingredients are easy to find.
Best yet.I have several Weight Watcher's cookbooks. I have to say that this is my favorite by far.
Quick, Tasty, and EasyThe book has many quick recipes which are tasty, and my husband loves quick recipes (He does the cooking). We have picked our favorites of the ten we have tried so far, but haven't even begun to try all of them. We hope to eliminate beef in our diets, because most of the recipes call for chicken, or no meat, and include vegetables which we need more of. I'm glad I made the purchase.
Weight Watchers HeavenThis is one of my favorite cookbooks. The recipes are very easy to follow and are made with ingredients I can find in my small town. I love the additional serving suggestions along with the comments about each recipe. The recipes are divided into breakfast, lunch and dinner suggestions and then divided further in 15, 20, and 30 minute recipes. These are fantastic for my busy schedule. Even my husband, who calls Weight Watchers that points thing, loves the recipes and does't realize how healthy he is eating.
Yummy!Great recipes...vegetable chili, turkey bacon cheeseburger, banana chocolate chip pancakes, and lots more "real" foods to eat and stay on the plan.
Great Recipes!I'm always looking for healthier options for meals and this book is great for that! I've only tried a couple so far but they've been very tasty and relatively easy to prepare, even for me, a total beginner in the kitchen! They did take a little longer than the 15, 20, or 30 minutes, but that could have been because I'm kind of new at preparing meals so I'm probably slower than the average cook. I'm very happy with my purchase and plan to use it alot!
Great cookbookI love this cookboook. Everything I have tried is delicious and easy. One of my favorites is a black bean salad with corn and avocado. I have tried the Texas Cavier, Cauliflower soup, a chocolate shake, and a fruit salad. All were excellent. Highly recommended.
WW easy recipesI like this cookbook. The thing I don`t like about it is that the index should be more inclusive with all the recipes.
Not much I would cook....I returned this book as I did not see that much that I would cook.
loved it!I have lots of cookbooks but I always go back to my Weight watchers ones! My family loves all the recipes I cook from them and I have even gotten my parents to start trying them too!
Weight Watchers Make It in MinutesI did not find any recipes that I would be trying. A lot of the items would have to be special purchase items bought in the grocery store and I do not care for that.
WW Make it in MinutesAbsolutely fabulous tasting meals, makes an amateur cook appear to be a master chef. My family LOVED every meal I made.
Weight Watcher's Make it in Minutes:Easy Recipes in 15, 20 and 30 minutesThis is the cookbook for me. I am not only trying to watch what I eat it needs to be fast and simple. I fell in love with the chicken and ham pot pie, this was really a surprise as I am not a fan of pot pies. I am in the process of exploring different recipes so far they have all been great And the taste is marvelous.
Great CookbookI wanted to start being a bit healthier about what I was making for dinner so I bought this cookbook. It has many tastey and healthy receipes to choose from. There are breakfast, lunch, and dinner receipes included for 15, 20, 30 min. I would say this is the cookbook I use the most.
Make it in minutes is greatSuch a great help in reaching my weight loss goals. My family loves these recipes. I have cooked almost every one within the 10 weeks of purchase.
